It concerns me greatly when umpires don't know the blood rule, don't know the basics such as runner interference, numbers in the square etc etc. They WILL have an affect on the outcome. To say an incorrect decision doesn't have an effect on the game is wrong, all decisions have an impact on the game, right or wrong. Some may not result in a score but it will impact on player's frustration and result in player confusion which will further impact on the way we play the game.
That makes perfect sense to me, so I've changed my mind. Jenner and Jumbo to do all remaining finals. Clearly the best two umpires.

True. He has many contacts and being a previous player of Hamley Bridge has goodwill also. This sign up i believe will be advantageous to our club.

The decision itself didn't have a massive impact on the game, you're right, my point was just that surely the umpires would know that it's a free kick. Everyone else at the ground did?Swamp Donkey wrote:Pag wrote:I was at Balak on Saturday and couldn't believe that no call. And coming from the amateur league where the crowds aren't huge, if that crowd at Balak was a small one, I'd hate to try to move around when there's a decent one. Although $3 for snag is a bit rich.
I dont think that decision had much of an influence on the game did it, there we plenty of others that we worse than that one.
Harden up mate, if 3 bucks is too much to pay for a feed then maybe you should have been there Sunday collecting the empty cans around the place. Snags are there to raise $$$ for the club afterall.
