Devs missing Gordon, Mehta, Floreani, O'Gorman and Chapman. They did play in spurts, but the runners of Trzesinski, Wood, White, Cooper and Baldock held upper hand. Super Bs also won, but Hahndorf again put up a competitive effort considering they had to borrow 4 Senior Colts to actually make up 18 players.

Cally forfeits..HFL fines then $300 and they save $3000 in player payments for the week!!! How come all their players fronted up last wk when they thought they had chance to win???
HFL should refuse their affliation next yr and get rid of them forever...
Hey, hahndorf asked Kym Thyer & Geoff Lord to play Bs today to make up a side..if they can do it so can cally..
Hold your heads in shame you eagels..
I keep a bit of an eye on Hills footy and can't recall the last time a Hills A-Grade forfeited - that is astonishing they can't field ONE team from what is normally TWO teams. Did 21 players have the flu?? Unlikely. Having seen the Eagles here and there over the year, looks like things have changed a lot from the original days. Will it be the beginning of the end? Can they find the passion again to go on with it? Interesting to see what happens.

I always admire struggling clubs who manage to get their act together every week, no matter what the odds. I reckon the occasional Reserves forfeit is excusable when absolutely desperate, but to fail to field an "A" grade as well is astounding.
Your comment was interesting 'luv'sfooty'. I wonder how this decision was reached? Who made it; who was consulted? I know few players there these days, but bumped into one yesterday who promptly told me it was nothing to do with him and didn't know the reason. And if contracted players had trained twice and were prepared to play, they're entitled to be paid I suppose, regardless of how ridiculous the $ may be.
Someone off-field, but presumably in the know tells me the Brookers offer to play their A's against Cally's B's was rejected because the club didn't want the boys to get 'done like a dinner and demoralised'.
Well, what can you say? I can't think of a Hills Country club which hasn't respected sides who
make the effort. And being done in those circumstances is no big deal. I reckon the club probably didn't think of the ramifications of it all but too late now. Not sure about Cally's ability to have the passion to go on "The Whisper", as I'm not sure there was any or will be.
Reckon I might spend my gate money in future on clubs which are trying a bit harder!

Tackled and chsed well. Surely up here! And many previous occasions where he has been top 2 but again not given anything! I think you'll find on alot of the cards in alot of games he wouldve polled votes.

I agree Mop up I thought it was the best game he has played for the club (Well 3 quarters, which is all anyone played). I believe the presentation 5 best is one card of 5 that goes to B&F votes, and I know he was top two on one other card at least.
Very disappointing last quarter, started at the break I thought, short sharp oration of kick two and we celebrate, break up early and listen to Collo for a further 5 mins, implore his charges for something more, that they delivered.

This Saturday against your Mob (Maccy) we have our 97 Premiership Reunion. Half of that side are still playing today which shows outstanding club loyalty, but also perhaps we have a lot of blokes on the wrong side of 30! Bergman, Bettison, Costello, Hughes, Hurst and MacDonald are still running around in the Twos and Levett, M.Scott, Paues, Wake and Westley are still putting their bodies through the rigors of 'A' grade footy. Reckon the only Maccy player still playing from that GF is the old prez Darren Wallace.
