I agree they can have a similar effect but they are very different. One is socially accepted (generally) and the other isnt.

Can you please explain the reasons why one is and one isn't!

I must admit though, it does stick in my craw when I'm called a "white c*nt", "cracker" or "redneck", as I'm certainly none of those.

Witty banter can be humorous and leave the person with nothin but a big f**k off as a come back.

i grew up in a little town just outside mildura, where the aboriginals and italians would have gone close to out-numbering us "whiteys". and back there, for a white bloke to call an aboriginal "black" and italians "wogs" was an everyday occurance, and nothing was thought of it. so i guess it's just how you've been bought up. as it sounds like NUGGETY GOODNESS was pretty much bought up the same, and still now has a relaxed attitude towards it.

It all depends how comfortable you are with the person.
I've got black mates who don't give a s***t. They know they're black, I know I'm white. Neither of us care.
Although...
I've been called a white c*nt on the field before and then spat on with the umpire right there.
Nothing was done.
I'm sure if it was the other way around I would've been reported and sent off straight away.
