Thats a good old belting
Was good. Our batsmen got us off to a great start and it was always going to be hard for them after our start. hey started with 9 blokes on the field too which I am sure didnt help. A few of their bats played a few cameos but the sheer weight of runs was too much for them. Enjoyed the game, not a real fan of the concept as I still prefer traditional cricket but enjoy playing in the games I guess. Not sold on it but I think it is here to stay.
The most ridiculous things out of 20/20 rules we are playing are the following:
1. Anyhting over shoulder height (in batting stance position) deemed a wide. Now this is ridiculous as I am sure most batsmen will say that most of those called are genuine scoring opportunities. What is the point of having batsmen going straight onto the front foot regardless knowing they will be able to most likely do so. I chucked one in for good measure regardless it is ridiculous. Over head height standing up yes, otherise it is ridiculous. Jsut makes it more of a batsmens game.
2. We luckily didnt have ot do this as the opposition and the umpires both agrees, but having to bowl 5 overs from one end then change ends bowl another five is ridiculous. We didnt have to do it which is good as common sense prevailed but that is just ridiculous.
Hopefully they can fix these issues to make it all more enjoyable for everyone.
