So what are peoples thoughts...

Win the toss and bat or bowl?

Forecast appears that it will be clear all afternoon but bit humid and overcast, tomorrow looks to be fine and sunny.. Is today a day where you go against the great Richie Benauds advice and bowl first?? ....

There is NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVER a good reason to bowl first in a final. And PG dont give me that i won the toss and bowled first last year and we won carp. You would have won by 400 runs if you had batted first LOL!!!!

You walk up to the opposition captain at the toss, you look the bastard in the eye and tell im. If i win this toss we are going to have a bat and you'll be chasing leather all day you filthy pig!

LM can I have the following please.

$30 on Westies/craigmore/Rosies/j Davies/a carman/ a Hewitt.
$15 on Westies/ATCO/vale/ozolins/jenner/Parker.
$20 on teachers/units/gullies/Westies.
$13.75 on any other player for MOTM.

That's all my coin gone.

Good luck to all teams playing in GFs this weekend and hopefully the rain clears so we get a full days play on both days.

In the Grade 2 GF i think it suits Atco to be a one dayer. They have a bit more power hitting on what will be a very slow outfield and have massive variety in their bowling attack with Parker, Sutton and the left armer.

LM what odds can i get on Al Hewitt to bowl more than 25 overs in their innings. Nothing surer than Gav will stick with what he trusts and Al is his man.

So on your reckoning ATCO should win?
Bigger hitters and massive variety in their bowling?
Not sure about either statement to be honest, time will tell. It will be a hard fought contest and the 1st hour of play will play a major part in how this game pans out.

Remember PG asked if it was a 1 dayer.

Parker- out and out quick
Sutton- swing bowler moves it both ways
Left Arm Cool Dude- Left armer swings the ball into the righties

Not sure what more variety you want mate! LOL

WHUFC I was looking at your scores from
Last weeks semi final.
What was the 10 run penalty for in Atcos 2nd dig?
Don't think I have ever seen that before.

lol

not to sure mate as i wasnt on the ground but my educated guess is it was for verbal. they were off the same ball which was a wide that went for four. 15 of one ball not including the next ball which went for 2 is that some kind of record from one ball.

So a 10 run penalty for some chat in a 2nd innings after the game had been pretty much won.
Did the umpires make any reports if it was that serious to award a 10 run penalty.

Any score updates from around the grounds will be greatly appreciated.

No matter which team wins the Div2 GF the red cordial and smith chips will be flowing until 9pm Sunday night.

While whoever wins the Div1 GF will be red eyed and smothered in chips until 9pm next Sunday.
