Where will the Adelaide Crows finish in 2010

Where do you see the Crows finishing in 2010 and why?

I realise that this topic is not in the Crows forum, yet is meant for opinion from all AFL team supporters, hence why its in the General AFL Forum.

At the end of the minor round I see them 3rd 4th or 5th. I fail to see them playing off in the GF though as the much practiced and well hidden game plan honed over the summer months will be there for all to see in rounds 1-22. You dont spring surprises on other clubs come September.I also think the short pre-seasons of Bock,Porplizia and van Berlo ( if he gets back ) will take its toll by the end of the year and without Bock and Porplyzia flying they cant win it.

I think a Prelim is within reach but would expect St.Kilda, Geelong or the Bulldogs to account for them when it counts most.

I am thinking 4-5th depending on how injuries go with us v other teams. Especially now with the injury curse spreading beyond West Lakes.

I am liking the options up forward this year and if the defence can stay on the park we will be about the mark.

Yep, I'm pretty much the same on the Blackbirds. Which is good because then I can razz up Gingernuts about Professor Craig's failed September experiment when in reality, he has done as well as can be expected with the current list over the last couple of seasons anyway. Their chance was in 2005 and 2006 but the Eagles got in the way.

As I posted in the 'sack Craig' thread, acceptable finish for me will be a prelim with a couple of wins against the 'big boys' throughout the season. Anything less and questions should quite rightly be asked.

Good to see 4 people think they will finish last. The thread is not where you hope they will finish.

I reckon the Crows will finish 3rd or 4th. A defensive brain snap costed us a PF birth last year and with a stronger side that will learn from the mistakes of last year, plus a soft draw the first half of the year should see them in the top 4.

I think we are at least as good as Hawthorn on our day.

Collingwood are ahead of Hawthorn and I reckon we are on par or slightly behind the Pies.

I think the Bulldogs are beatable depending on the respective teams on the day. It's the Saints and Geelong that I think are clearly ahead of us.

The other factor is the the Crows have one of the easier draws out of all the teams, especially early.

Carey, who's your 1-7 if the Crows are 8th?

well the crows were only 10 seconds from beating collingwood in the semi last year. so they were almost par then.

Well, I was picking up Carey who doesn't even have Collingwood in his top 4 by the looks!

Collingwood are very good and capable of being great but IMO need at least one more key forward before they start claiming they are clearly ahead of teams like the Crows. I said the Crows were on par or slightly behind Collingwood so I don't think that's some huge, bold statement worthy of that response NM.

it sure is, i think Collingwood will improve with Jolly and Ball but i think the crows will improve as well. Sticks Kernahan believes that Tippett will become the best Big Forward in The AFL in the next two years, so if thats the case they will be hard to beat.

and i think games between the crows and Collingwood will be 2 goal games.

The Crows will improve with what pick ups?
Jolly & Ball are huge additions to the Pies.
The Crows will be relying 2 much on the Goodwins, Mcleods, Edwards & Burtons.
Are the young ones ready to stand up & cover for these blokes?

Gametime in to the Young Brigade, people like Mackay, Dangerfield, Sloane, Walker. and so on... and the stars of the Future like Porplyza, Vince and tippett stood up last year. just wait and see Mercy. are you a Woods supporter.
