Port are kidding themselves if they reckon they can get that. Lucky to even get a 1st round pick for him

Langford?

Maybe Langford could commute to Sydney from Melbourne each week. ;)

Better player than that B&F finish, but I agree that he's not worth a top 10 pick. But like any negotiation, if you start at the real value you're going to get talked down. The contract he has is another issue.

Jeez where is the cash coming for that?

I still struggle with the concept that the player gets to nominate where he goes if he's not a free agent. That should be the price you have to pay for free agency - pay your dues going wherever the club last trade you to for the first few years

Reckon they have no problem money wise. Hill and probably Sicily moved on, the older guys all reportedly took decent cuts and when they all finish next year there will be heaps in the kitty so can probably backend a few contracts.
O'Meara rumoured to have been offered $4m over 5 years, Mitchell would be maybe 450-500k a year and Vickery 350k tops

Alot for O'Meara considering the amount of football he has played in the last 2 years.

Correct, and Mitchell probably worth more than O'Meara. But how will these deals happen? The Hawks don't have a high draft pick who would they trade to the suns and swans? A pie and a coke to Richmond should see the Vickery trade go through.

Vickery is a free agent so won't cost them anything.
O'Meara probably will cost next years first rounder plus Sicily and maybe steak knives. Mitchell probably this years first and another pick somewhere along the line ( most likely from Hill) Maybe even a multi club trade to facilitate the deals

Why Sicily? I would have thought O'Brien before him. I reckon Sicily has plenty to offer the hawks.

Sicily is similar to Gunston and Bruest so it is believed the Hawks are open t trading him. The Gold Coast are keen on him as well, so he could make up part of a deal to get O'Meara to the Hawks.
