The issues you mention have been prevalent for a long time so still fall under a failure of the senior coach I would think. I'm not close enough to know the situation, but from the outside you would question his group of assistants also. I like the bloke, but whenever a side is clearly sup-par in an area and show zero signs of improvement in that area, there's only so long he can survive imho. If they'd addressed their defensive and effort woes but another issue had emerged, well then yeah maybe that buys some time. Their list management team will come under fair scrutiny too you would think.[/quote]

Did you see someone today published all their draft picks and trades for the last 8 or so years, there are multiple years where not a single player remains, that is their problem. Ill see if i can find it
They are the easiest team to move the ball from defensive 50 to forward 50 against and by a comfortable margin, backs up what i said earlier about not just their defenders who cant defend

Since 2019 That is 40 out of 55 that are an absolute bust, 8 that are a win, 4 that a ? is very generous and the 3 question marks from 2019 are unlikely.
You wouldnt find a club with a worse recruiting record than that, id even venture to say no club would even come close to that sort of incompetence

I would of moved him on 2-3 years ago.
His disposal is terrible.
He’s only still there so his brother don’t go elsewhere.

What's wrong with Eddie? Surely he plays against the Crows.

He’s 34, incredibly inconsistent (because he’s 34) and literally hasn’t been able to kick 40 metres since 2018.

Development at Carlton has been very ordinary, recruiters can only bring talent to the club, what happens after that isn't their responsibility.

Barring Walsh who are the other kids that have developed into above average footballers in recent years?

McKay looks good. Took awhile Kirk big fellas do, but looks good.

Probably only other one is Cripps.

Walsh was a star when he was born, couldn't stuff that one up even if they tried.

Cripps, MacKay and Walsh would develop at any club, they just have natural skill. Carlton have nothing to do with their development

Development is a huge issue

Dow O'Brien looks to be a very costly bust

even guys like Fisher and SPS who Cartlon fans think are future guns don't do anything, I don't see it with either of them, I'd be happy to trade them.

Crows get criticised for not playing the kids quick enough...on the other hand I think Carlton play theirs too quick without earning a spot.

6 years at 26 with a banged up body, my word player managers bend clubs over now, don't they?
