If North win & Adelaide win, the Crows will play Richmond in Adelaide & we'll play the Bulldogs again, this time at the G.

When your best player is 37 years of age, I'm sure that's a good enough reason to rest him. Rest your top 4 blokes.

As many as you wan't. The AFL are pretty hamstrung by allowing such things as "general soreness" to be listed as an out all year round.

It's also impossible for one doctor to over rule another doctor.ie - Goldstein is out with a "corked hip", how could one doctor say "No, he's fine to play" over the club doctors diagnosis?

I'd say Goldstein would be almost a certain omission and that would be enough, IMO, to sway me towards a Richmond victory. ( Or, as it stands, further towards a Richmond victory as I think they're a good thing Friday night )

Integrity. What a joke. All the AFL cares about is money. Having players out could hurt the gate and how much betting goes on. You can't blame coaches for resting players on the eve of the finals and squealing about integrity reeks of hypocrisy.

Resting key players now is a smart move by Freo, but North have hardly been setting the world on fire. I would have thought that the chance to beat Richmond, another top 8 side, on the last round of the finals would be a good way to go in. I still believe winning form is good form. Going in with a loss against a side that you may meet again the week after seems a little risky to me.

Watch us lose now to brisbane and north beat richmond... crows finish 5th and get us in a home final...

If richmond beat north then its pretty much a guaranteed crows V bullies elimination unless the tiges win by less than a kick and the dogs get up by 80+

WB could easily win by 80+
They'll know if they have to anyway with the North/Rich game played Fri night.

Yep, and i would much rather face North than the Crows at this point. Best result in my mind is if North win.

Hartigan signs for two more years too.

So, Adelaide have had Sloane, Douglas (?), Lynch and Hartigan sign on in recent weeks, correct?

I think there is a fair chance that Dangerfield is going, however you would think these blokes would have been stitched up weeks ago if they were sure on their star players intentions to leave.... Or they have other blokes on their radar to replace and are trying to satisfy their salary needs.

Douglas was 3 years, Laird 3 years too?

Assuming danger goes, I reckon this is a possible best case scenario

Match Geelong's offer Get Motlop and their first rounder

Send Geelongs first rounder to Brisbane for redden

Use our first rounder to give to Collingwood for sharenberg - they will need it for aish and treloar
