I was talking specifically about our backline. Betts is a lock for AA, and I also think Danger will get there too imo.

Even though Sauce has had a good season I dont think he will make it, Goldy has it sewn up. I guess he could get a spot on the bench, though Nic Nat would be pretty close too

whoops my bad.

Is the crows forward line the best in the comp? On form I think it is up there, only Hawthorn and WC would match/better the crows I would think.

As LaughingKookaburra mentioned above, I am so impressed with our backline too. Even though he made a few mistakes by foot yesterday, Lever just looks so composed with the ball.

To potentially have 4 AA selections in the past 2 years (Talia and Smith last year, Talia and Laird look good chances this year) is something I dont think I would have said about the crows backline a couple of years ago

Talia will be stiff to miss it out. But I reckon Rance and Hurley may keep him out for the two key positions

Yeah good point. Don't think talia has had quite as good a year this year. Should make the squad though.

Sportsbet have Adelaide at $8 to make the Prelim.

I think they'll get the Bulldogs away and then either Richmond or Sydney away before the prelim.

Thoughts folks?

Would rather play Richmond in the first final for sure.

Playing either Richmond or Sydney in the semi final does seem to be the better half of the draw though, playing west coast or hawthorn would be super tough.

Looks like they have all of the bottom four at $8 to make a prelim except the Bulldogs at $7.50.

It seems clear that it would breach the integrity rules as it would manipulate the finals draws - something that Fremantle resting players won't do

The crows supporters at work were bleating about it non stop.
"Your cheating lot are gonna cost us a home final" I copped numerous times.
I had to point out that they hadn't actually beaten Geelong as of 5am this morning nor had we lost to Richmond yet.

Both of those are true, but it also seems a clear breach of the rules and i doubt the AFL will let it happen

It’s a bit different to Fremantle resting players as the result changes nothing, however North resting players will move a few teams around and guarantee that North play an elimination final in Melbourne. I can see why Crows supporters would be annoyed.

As long as the docs sign off on it there isnt much the AFL can do.
If player x is struggling with a niggle they are entitled to sit out a week to prevent further injury. Hard to prove if its legit of course but id imagine the AFLPA would come down hard on the league if the players were not given the benefit of the doubt.
The Crows could of won more games earlier in the season and we wouldnt even be talking about it ;)

Don't give a shit who, where or when we play. If we are good enough we'll knock them off.

With this years draw I think you're almost better off in the bottom half of the draw rather than the top half. Teams in the top end could be going to Perth twice in 3 weeks.

Its interesting that a North win mean they would likely face Adelaide at AO. A Loss would mean they would get Richmond at the G. Not really much of a prize if you win.

A win puts them up against the Bulldogs, a loss see's them play Richmond again, it is virtually impossible that they will meet Adelaide over here.
