Palmer Street.

Some of the accents and average acting was a bit distracting, but wasn't too bad overall.
However, the voice-over sounded out of place and slightly unnecessary.
Norman Bruhn and his gang was more interesting than the bickering between Kate Leigh and Tilly Devine, although their paths obviously cross.
Looking up Nellie Cameron (the young prostitute) on wiki, I expect she'll be a fairly prominent character during the series

I missed it (although it doesn't sound like it was too flash) but the double episode is being repeated on Gem on Friday night at 9:30pm for anyone interested.
