Not sure. Think it just seems to be that some college kids in the US got big on him a few years back with a website devoted to him, which absolutely took off via the net. Same way I guess that everyone went through the similar thing with Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon about 15 years ago. Congrats too on 8000 posts. That's a lot of time sitting around thinking about the important stuff, like Chuck Norris.

Thats the worst move he could make, if i were him i would embrace the whole thing, it would be the best career move ever.
