Will be interesting to see who is number 1?
Is it Magary Medallist James Allan, does Callinan deserve the mantle or will Ty Allen get the nod (or someone else completely)
I'm not even going to attempt my top 50, too bloody hard !!!

Although McKenzie could rate a bit lower as his first half of the year was a bit so-so, but the last half seemed to get back to his old self.

Grieger? Surely you have to be able to kick to be considered in the top 50 players?

I'd reckon the team of the year will provide a substantial number, but it's also plausible that some from the team of the year could not make the top 50 overall. eg a back pocket player or a flanker might be regarded in lesser terms than the best 5 CHF players in the league.
Also, Jack Riewoldt made the AFL All Australian Team with about 12-14 games played - it will be interesting to see what criteria are given to be considered a top 50 player.

You'd think he'd be a top 50 player in the league but one wonders if he is 'selected' after missing Central's first 6 games (they had a bye in Rd 2).
