What I do know is this game is probably the most important for the season. More than likely we'll be facing off in a fortnight and the winner will take a lot out of a win.

I just can't agree with that. If Sturt win, it would just make a loss in a fortnight harder to bear and I'm sure vice versa.

If Sturt win, I'll be pleased the boys turned around a poor second half against Glenelg, but I have to admit, I wouldn't feel any more confident than I would now facing you in the Qualifying Final. I think we have the players to win on the day come finals time, but thinking it and doing it are two different things, again, we had you on toast last year, but we were KO'ed in the last term.

So the way I see it, if we lose, I'd give us a 50-50 chance of beating you in the final.

I agree the only point of playing footy is to win premierships,it doesn't matter who you play if it has to be Torrens as you say that only means they were better than you that year.The result tonight means squat as the real deal happens in a few weeks,the only thing a win tonight for us doggies does is keep us in with a chance to take top spot and that is only there if the Bays slip up.

So we fluked it in '02 UK? What a ridiculous thing to say. We were around the mark for nearly every year since '98 and have been pretty well since '02. It's like saying that WWT's flag was a fluke after playing numerous GF's. I hate to bring it up as does every Sturt supporter, but the events after '02 had a lasting affect on the players and wider club. The efforts of Centrals since 2000 have been sensational and unmatched previously and may never will be such is their dominance, however to assume that anyone who has beaten them for a flag is merely fluking it is absurb. What MST has mentioned about the players and coaching staff in their approach to the '02 season and GF is spot on, it's fact. Show some respect and regard UK, it's for this sort of mentality that port supporters and their club became so reviled.
