I've just heard via radio that 2/3 players named on the interchange bench actually started on the ground therefore meaning two illegal interchanges therefore down to one interchange player only. Is this true??
If it is true, that is an incredibly basic mistake....
can someone confirm?????

Great potted review Aerie. Thanks for that. I do sometimes wonder about teams that say, 'We're going to play more direct, positive football', that they can be playing into the opposition's hands if the players have one notion only drummed into their heads, and there's no Plan B. Sometimes a 20 metre sideways pass is the best option for opening up a runner, and it's pretty easy to defend if you know that every ball into the forward line is going to be a huge roost into the hot spot.Aerie wrote:I headed out there tonight. Was a fantastic game and good crowd. ...
Norwood's game plan has clearly changed. From the over use and chipping around of the Brett James era - they are now a lot more direct and if anything, they probably need to settle and find a target when going into the forward line instead of continually bombing the ball to the top of the goal square.
Well done to North on the win and it was a real credit to SANFL footy the way these two teams played tonight.
