Are you saying seven duds replaced by seven decent players wouldn't have us way better off?Your polishing it mate and you know it!
Oh and it's my opinion that Goldy was just as good now as he was in 2011, especially his skills

Well no shite, if we'd recruited Gablett and Patty Dangerfield we'd be far better off. Realistically though, one guy like Ainger and a couple of project players isn't such a bad year for recruiting. When we got Ben Greiger for example, there would have been many who'd described it as a 'dud' recruit. On the other hand, Robert Eddy, after playing in an AFL GF, was lauded as a fantastic addition to our team, and look what happened. All SANFL clubs operate under limitations re recruiting, and you have some good years and bad years. FWIW I would give us a C- or B+ for recruiting for this season.
By far and away, our inconsistency has been the biggest issue for us. Yes, I think we need a fast midfielder for next season etc., but we're % only off third place Holden! When we've got a squad capable of attaining 4th place at the beginning of August, recruiting is not what I'd be lamenting.
Ok my friend, I do see where you are coming from but really, a B+ ??? Just because of Ainger you can not say that Godden and Hentchel have done so well getting one quality A grade recruit.
I agree with C- and that's just my point isn't it! Not good enough and certainly the main reason we have dropped off Norwood's high level of consistant winning football.
Compared to North's recruiting we suck

look at our list of hacks against Dalwood, Langford, Shannon, Clinch, Gordon, Miles and Bennett (gone now)... and there might be more!
Don't tell me they have overtaken us due to coaching or tactics.
Plus it never helps when your midfielders can't put an ounce of pressure on the opposition ie. defense
Our mids are dinosaurs in the modern game where to work both ways is a non negotiable and expected by top coaches and clubs, but not ours
