With the list we have, which in my opinion is better on paper than last years, we really havent clicked at all. Not even close. In the run up to the finals hopefully the penny will drop that the club will not tolerate a year of no September action. Especially after getting a taste last year. All the playing group and coaches should be fully aware of this. Last weeks effort against Port was an improvement but there is still a long way to go. This week against Sturt we will be tested no doubt, but it will be a test of character for many of our up until now underperforming "names." Looking forward to travelling to Unley on Saturday for the game. Can you buy a beer there now or do you still have to be a Sturt member ..?
I was refused a beer from their so called "members tent" in front of the grand stand about 3 or 4 years ago. I actually thought the barman was joking and laughed. Ahhh...no, he was dead serious and directed me to the West End caravan on the Northern side of the ground.
I have always held a bit of a grudge on Sturt over that as it was not just me but other South supporters too.
Since Sturt have been given this secret "so called" money will it be put up again?
Will a cheese and cracker plate be on sale?
Ahhh, so that's what it was. I have always thought your posts towards us good old Blues folk was a bit vitriolic.

Blue and White, I think you have written a very fair assessment of South's situation and what this game means. I agree with MST on this one, South is under enormous pressure to win this. I reckon that will surely bring their best out.
Sturt on the other hand finds itself in a very similar position as Round 5, where we had won 3 on the trot, including a very emotional win over Port, and then went down, sort of unexpectedly to Norwood before we had the bye. We lost two more after that. This time around we won about 5 on the trot including a couple of wins against high placed sides, again a very emotional win against a much respected foe, then lost to the Bays before we had the bye. The unknown quantity this time is that Panther unit that B and W described as not yet having clicked together. I reckon if we go out there and give it our all, as we have done in the 8 games we have won to date, we should come out on top. Should be a beauty in any case.
