Mickyj you have a point because the Eggs have a good record at Coopers.
BUT ...... if you have the ball and deny the opposition posession EVERYTHING goes out the window.
I believe Norwood will have more posession AND use it better.
Most stats after a game are close but the team who USES the ball better wins.

Agree with Aerie and Premiers about the one extra tall forward, but apart from that, can we play this side every week?

Think they should've kept Fitzgerald. Especially with Grocke out.

My thoughts on Norwood oval due to its size you can kick over the CHF forward position !!
And before I get attacked by Norwood fans not 100 % sureEagles will get the ball first to test my theory

Back in the old days of players keeping their positions and forward playing football .. These days with switches and the press, the forward movement doesn't always begin in the middle of the ground.

On a different note, I can't recall Bernie Vince ever playing in a losing game against Norwood - Wonder if he has?

I think the eagles will win. Vince, Mitchell and Smith are three pretty good inclusions

Not sure on his overall record, but remember him kicking a goal against Norwood on the siren at Adelaide Oval to win us the game. Reckon it was 2006 and was our first win of the season after losing the first couple.

Had a brilliant season a 4 or 5 years back but has been treading water for a couple of seasons now.
On form he has been very lucky to get a game for awhile now, finally the gold pass has ran out.
The Eagles will see a fair bit of him this season IMO

This is the strongest side we've had on paper all season. I'm loving the inclusions of Mitchell, Redden, Smith and Vince. Brodie and Bernie genuinely love pulling on the gold, green and blue jumper and will give there all. Will be interesting to see how Kane Mitchell handles his demotion to the rookie list. If he plays anywhere near his sandover medal winning form he'll carve it up in the sanfl. I'm actually thinking now we have a real chance of winning this game.

Agree with you Aerie about Zac Fitzgerald, should be in the side for tonight. Was the best of our three terrible forward talls against West. Godden must encourage our juniors by not dropping them after one game. Hope Godden doesn't fall for playing rucks at FF in night games, never works. If Dawson plays FF the team looks much better balanced for a night game. Doubt if Malcolm Karpany a young aboriginal boy from Yorke Pen. (attends Rostrevor C.) will make the team with the inclusion of Mitchell, Vince, Smith and possibly Allmond. The club thinks Karpany is a certainty to be drafted to the AFL in November.

I think the AFL guys could help the Eags, but either way you'd expect them to respond after the game against Westies. Am expecting Norwood to win 12 goals to 8 or something like that.

Surprised Port didn't list Brett Ebert as a longer term injury and keep Mitchell upgraded. Can't see Ebert playing any AFL this year if Port continue as they are and Mitchell is very handy? Also cannot see Salter ever wearing the Power colours again.

Apparently Brett Ebert's iinjury will only see him sidelined for a further 5 weeks. To be placed on the long term injury list and upgrade a
rookie, the injury needs to be listed as 8 weeks, minimum...
It is bad luck for the Power and a massive gain for the Eagles...

Still surprising and even more so that Port don't bullshit and make it a longer "out" period. They bullshit about everything else?

Opinion or fact?

Norwood to win comfortably.
