Round 7 is over and Don Cooper still hasn't tipped the roosters to win once this year!!!! I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but Don's anti rooster stance is getting ridiculous. Please continue not to tip North, Don.

Yes I thought the same. He will eventually get it right as we will drop one or two games over the journey.

And therein lies the problem with your publication Phil, co-contributers who publically display a real lack of SANFL and football knowledge.

Maybe if it was just yourself and Nankivell it would be worth purchasing.

How anyone can tip Port over North is staggering especially with the gulf in performace between the top three and the bottom three so far the season.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

But the strength of the publication is that it has five individual contributors providing thoughts so you get the best possible chance for a diverse range of opinions.

I am quite happy that in the one publication you can read reasons why North will win
and a different reason as to why Port will win.

Surely this is better than everyone repeating themselves (which I acknowledge does happen
at times as everyone sends in their thoughts blind not knowing what others have written.)

Don is not saying Port are favourites ... he is tipping an upset.
and he makes a case for it.

As for lack of knowledge .. read the preview he proves just the opposite.

Don knows enough about the SANFL to remember that they played 3 times last year
and on two occasions Port upset the Roosters.

He also has enough knowledge to know that North had a strong history last year of
beating teams they shouldn't (Norwood & West ) but were getting regularly beat by Sturt and Port.

And seriously it's a writer giving a TIP. ..... not a financial adviser with an investment recommendation.

I did something earlier this year backing South coming off a 100+ flogging at the hands of West
to beat Sturt at Unley. The team at Fiveaa though I had lost the plot ... until the game was played.

Edited - everyone is entitled to their opinion however Phil H why are you trying to defend his tip? Basing tips on last year is historical so how far do we need to go back to justify comments 1, 2 , 5 , 10 years if you want to use past results and trends? Based on the same time this year as last year, is North the same team and in the same form? Be hard to justify it on that?

It's just a footy tip, isn't it? Hardly calls for a 'how dare he' response, does it?

Although I agree that Don seems asleep at the wheel a lot of the time when he writes/tips.

I think the result speaks for itself ... am Bays I look forward to your subscription.

To summarise ... Don likes to think outside the square and be different. He is not always right but I'm certainly glad to have the diversity of thought in the publication.

Mr. Cooper is now 2 out of 8 regarding North matches this year. And his prediction of North coming 8th is looking sick, too. As I said before everyone is allowed an opinion but we do look for a lack of bias in our journalists or is that asking too much these days.

Any dogs members receive this? If yes, how?

I never think of asking the club when they're open, only after hours.

As an SANFL and in particular NAFC supporter I have jumped on board with a subscription to foot-E Times. I am thinking that this vehicle is a great way of getting some balanced SA footy news, especially since the Advertiser only has a snippet of local footy news available to those that dont want to pay for a MURDOCK publication.

Is NAFC a supporter of the foot-E Times ? Have emailed the Club to find out.

In the weekly match email that comes from the club there is a link in the document that you click on and you get access to the Foot-e-Times! You should see it if you read it properly!
