Show the post where I wrote that?
This true supporter rubbish has turned people off of the magpies because people like you do not allow them to go to games and enjoy the match. You are more concerned over who they follow in the AFL. Who cares it is a different comp and clearly as I wrote the club has only 1500 true supporters. Funny thing is I never hear power supporters question who people follow in the SANFL. If everyone was a true supporter as you want then they would have to go to both games. Also what of those people who have started supporting the Magpies since 97? are they allowed to just go to games and enjoy their footy or do they have to go through the do you support the power security check?

Serious question though.......who would you prefer to see win a premiership this year......Maggies or Power?
I'd be interested to hear other PAFC supporters thoughts as well.........and don't just say both.

The only reason he is playing league at the Magpies is the PAFC can't lose face after moving him from North's reserves for development which would be admitting we were right if he was dropped. He is getting a game under false pretences to try and justify Port's grand plan!
What a load of rubbish. Hes had a decent enough year, has played decent football as a stopping defender and has been deserving of his spot in the team.

I know Norwood and North supporters who follow the Power but hate the Magpies and I know Magpie supporters who barrack for other AFL teams. There are even former Port Magpie players that dislike the Power, why is that so hard to understand?

*BUMP* Played reserves today did he not? So much for his development being hampered at North so hence his move to Alberton! Only so long the "false pretence" could continue at Alberton gifting "spuds" a league game! Might be in trouble next year if you do get a Reserves Team in the SANFL and the rest of the Magpies disappear? Port will have nowhere to hide spuds like him except maybe in the Ammos. No wonder Kochie is having a rethink!

personally I think that a true supporter would hold his (or her) club accountable if they thought they were doing the wrong thing, or at the very least ask questions to clarify that their actions were correct.
its people who blindly follow anything that worry me more. I don't trust anyone on blind faith, its naive to think that just because someone has risen to a position of authority they are good at what they do, or even that they have the best interests of the body they represent at heart.
I have no problem in members and supporters or north Adelaide having a crack at the club. they have stopped some stupid decisions at board level being made in the past, and may do so again in the future. and I am sure that if North cave in to the stupid afl reserves push that there will be consequences at the agm. there have still not been any benefits presented that would cause me to think that the reserves are a good idea.

on the rails wrote:Alot of comment on why the AFL doesn't run it's own stand alone Resserves Comp comes down to cost in the main to flying an increased list of players and support staff around the country, so if the AFL use cost as the main excuse then how do they justify (1) Fudning in principal the NEAFL conferences and the intersate travel for teams between the two - because they see that as game development? (2) Who is funding the expansion teams to the tune of millions a year - the AFL of course and in the name of development re expanding the brand.
The ethos behind the want for AFL Teams to have Reserves Teams is to develop their full list together which is fair enough and definately reasonable so why are the wishes of exisiting teams in traditional Australian Rules states not allowed to develop for the overall interests of the game.
The Gold Coast may make it and are at least competitive but the GWS Giants look like they could be a massived failure with the AFL throwing good money after poor money in a City that took decades to partly embrace and accept the Swans who are popular by part to on field success to drive it off field.
The AFL could, to be honest be better at utilising it's massive income / profits for all it's clubs not just those in non Ausssie Rules states? Funding a proper national reserves comp would at least take away the attack on the integrity of the State League Comps who are the ones who suffer because of the selfish / collective needs of individual clubs and the AFL as a whole.
