I understand well the point you are making MJ, yet i think Pyes would have liked very much to be in charge of the players payments, yet considering how tightly the board hold the reigns at the SAFC, I am pretty confident to say that he would not have much to do with it even remotely!
You have to concede that Pyman did get South into the finals for the first time in a number of years, considering where South were before he got the job at the club along with where we ended up after he was let go, I think that he did incredibly well to achieve that result for the club. Its something I have often wondered, where the SAFC might be if we had continued Pyman on with the club and performed a Malcolm Blight styled cull on the whiteants in the playing group identified by Kevin Morris in his report!
