Policy on the run is what we got from Labor. It's all we're getting from Libs. It's all we're going to get in the future - until pollies and their advisers work out a way to circumvent the influence of social media and its accompanying news cycle, they're going to keep looking at the short term.

Is 3 years too short a time?

Would moving to 5 year terms for instance circumvent this?
