Postby LBJ8 » Fri Dec 30, 2005 12:29 pm

Pretty Bored and thought i'd post up how i think the ladder will look at the end of 06.....

North
Port
Eagles
Sturt
Centrals
Glenelg
South
Norwood

Have changed my mind on this a million times but i think that how the season may go. Big call, but i think we may be alright if we get the couple of players we are still after.....

North (nice thought, but I still reckon Centrals will be in the mix, top 3 finish though)
Port (might be a chance without a salary cap audit  )
Eagles (4th or 5th at best)
Sturt (wont make the 5)
Centrals (see above)
Glenelg (some where between 4th & 7th)
South (some where between 4th & 7th)
Norwood (some where between 4th & 7th)
West (spot on)

for what it's worth, my tip for 2006
Centrals
North
Port
Norwood
Eagles

South
Glenelg
Sturt
West

Minor grades, another North trifecta

North, Port, Central, Sturt, South, Eagles, West and Norwood will all battle it out for the finals.
Glenelg will be crap.

PS I only say that because the Snouts hate us so much/have a chip on their shoulder, the more hate the more it shows how much they envy us. :D

Salary cap audit didn't cost Centrals a flag, just 10k, which they would've recouped through t-shirt sales anyway...
Why is it that WWT escape any salary cap scrutiny? They're apparently "whistle blowing" to the SANFL about other clubs, yet I think a look into their books would be in order. A close look.

How could WWT be over the salary cap - they never recruit anyone.

While clubs like north and port try and buy a token premiership

Salary caps can be gotten around. You just have 15 bar staff on 60k a year and the rest are "development officers"

Port (provided the list gels and Timmy continues the "Port Way")
Centrals (too much class not to be up there, would hope to not have their depth tested too severely)
North (Get the feeling Jars still has the club on the way up, they round out the 3 legitimate flag contenders imho)
Eagles (Good solid list, but can't see where the improvement on last season is going to come from)
Norwood (Reasonable list, plenty of youth who should improve, ? = their response to a new coach/style)

Sturt (Again solid, but aging list, will need to see decent time from their AFL listed's, think they might be on the decline)
South (Raffle Book City, no doubting some of the talent on their list, but who will be there come round 1 & will they put in?)
West (Year of rebuilding but there's a lot to like about the way they are doing it, won't be down for long)
Glenelg (Not sure if they have covered their losses, will need a few more signings prior to seasons commencement)

Obviously, crystalballing at this time doesn't mean sh.., but thats how I see things as they currently stand!

They are very discreet. Look at the playing stocks (of previous) Ciccolella, Lindsay, O'Hara, Colville + others I can't think of, I don't believe they play for the love of the jumper. I just think it's rich they point the finger, mainly away from themselves...

NA- 13 Premierships
PA- 33 Premierdhips
Equals 46 Premierships

WWT- 1 Premiership
WT- 2 Premierships
W- 0 Premierships
Equals 3 Premierships

If I remember correctly Punk, the Eagles were over by about $3000 a few years back, or have you forgotten about that.
