Norwood make loss of $434686!

Postby Wedgie » Thu Dec 08, 2005 8:18 pm

Looking at norwoodredlegs.com it seems the Annual Report came out today and the club made about a half a million dollar loss.
Is it panic time at Norwood?
I know they had a heap of $$$ to prop up their assets last year but this would take a huge chunk of that out surely?

A whole bunch of blokes are going to have a dig here, which is really sad because Norwood being in this state damages the entire competition. :!:

$570,000 loss apparently. That's a shocker.

Neville Roberts strikes again. Anything this pri** gets involved goes broke. Just look at his track record in business. Well done Neville.

$570,000 loss and an opposition supporter can't buy a ticket to go into the vacant members stand and watch the game..? I'm sorry, something isn't right...!

I wouldn't like to see any side go broke and be lost to the comp but rest assured South wouldn't be missed like Norwood would be. Back in your box!

Is it possible for an SANFL club to recover from such of a loss in todays world..?? Only time will tell..? Won't take too long to find out. A competition without Norwood..? A competition without Norwood Oval (Coopers Stadium) Shame..!

Maybe it was because of the free drinks!

PS If any club goes broke, let it be both Port clubs.

Yes, North is living proof of that, 5 straight losses to 2002, 3 very healthy profits since, including $201,058 this year.
But you need to get your gaming venue up and running, or it will be more doom and gloom.

LOL South supporters taking a swipe, I've heard it all now!!

You don't need to be Einstein to work out the clubs not in the healthiest of ways, and naturally losses like this wouldn't be sustainable for very long at all without some serious ramifications, however nows not a time to wallow, it's a time to address things and put them **** right ... We need look no further than the NAFC who have shown what can be done, hopefully we have the right people in place to fix this problem, otherwise best we find them and get them into the positions required to address this!

Like any club you're passionate about, whilst you're still breathing you're alive and capable of turning things around!!

  Maybe if every club goes broke South could finally win a premiership
But I doubt it!! They would find some way to screw it up!! although playing with themselves is something you Jman would find easy to do!!
Watching your team slide down the ladder and hearing the supporters whinge was one the highlights of 2005 and puts a smile on this dial everytime I think of it!! :D
