RIP Spud :(

Fondly recall getting his autograph as a young lad at my first saints game in 1993, back when the visiting team would sit behind the players race at footy park and watch the curtain raiser.

Listened to SEN for a while after the news broke, was difficult.

When I heard the news, my head went into overdrive. Was he driving back from Melbourne after a big weekend celebrating his birthday? Did he fall asleep at the wheel? Did he have a heart attack? We won't know for a while of course, but it's shocking news. I've seen a few people around me in similar ages to Spud pass in the last few weeks and it's difficult to fathom that they're around my age. So much to still live for.

I didn't know Spud of course but everyone says he was such a great bloke. RIP.

Just numb :(

He was your classic footy character that was grounded and never had his head in the clouds, you could imagine having a beer with him.

Last year I listened to Wayne Schwass's Puka Up podcast where Danny spoke about his depression battle a few years back, it was one of the most powerful interviews/stories I have ever heard. I fear this got him, I hope not but from the pics Ive seen it doesnt seem as though there are many trees on that road....
