NFL Season 2015/16

Postby Spargo » Wed Apr 22, 2015 11:01 am

Pittsburgh just emailed me their draw for the upcoming season - JEEBUS!
I can't recall us receiving a tougher schedule (on paper) before.

Houstons schedule is very good.

Blockbusters against the Cheifs, Panthers, Dolphins, Buccs, Falcons, Jets, Bills plus the usual 2 games each vs the Jags and Titans.

If the Texans dont make the playoffs, some serious firing needs to be done.

Greg Hardy suspended for 10 weeks by the NFL. Good pickup by the Cowboys. He'll be available to play in Week 12 (10 games, 1 bye) against his former side, the Carolina Panthers.

And if you missed it last week, Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of the murder of Odin Lloyd, and was sentenced to life, without the possibility of parole. He will automatically appeal.

He is currently being housed at Walpole prison, 7 minutes from Gillette Stadium. He's gonna hear all the game day noises from his cell.

In the pic below, the prison is the square compound in the top left corner.

I had a mate who bought a t-shirt after Vick got out of prison & was picked up by Philly.

In the fantasy comp this year are you making it so you can choose certain players to keep from last season?

Keeping tabs when I can. Raiders took Armari Cooper with pick 4 WR from Alamamba as expected. Happy with that pick now to draft some defense in the next few rounds.

The NFL draft system is strange. Draft picks being traded while the draft is happening, players drafted not guaranteed to still be there by the time the preseason starts, players looking to get drafted to see if they'll even play another game in their lives

I was going to bed early last night but "We are Marshall" came on TV. Despite having IQ, you just have to watch it
Just watched NFL Programming on ESPN?

Anyone else getting excited about the coming season?

Was interested in the Shane Ray story. Seriously, don't these kids understand they live in our world, not theirs?
He got lucky. They thought he'd drop to the 3rd round that would have cost him millions

The Pats now a million bucks lighter, Brady suspended for 4 regular season games and no first round draft pick in 2016 or 4th round in 2017. All a result of the deflategate play-off game

Each sport has it's own little peculiarities that outsiders see and think is strange but followers like for their uniqueness, but in a business as big and controlled as the NFL, it seems strange that the balls are left to each teams' devices.

This years series of Hard Knocks will feature the Houston Texans.

Get around it boys. Great team, and great culture. Bill Obrien is a good speaker.

Bit disappointed Swearinger is gone, because there would have been some extremely stupid/funny things said by the dumb dumb.

Also disappointed Fitzpatrick is at the Jets. He's a great bloke from what I saw last year, and it would have been good to see him on Hard Knocks.

Quitely confident of the Raiders chances this season all coming together now under Reggie & Jack, If Mark can get us a new stadium - deal in Oakland and just leave Reggie & Jack to get the onfield going and not interfere like Al did in his later years the future looks bright and we will rule the AFC West again
