Congratulations Paul Thomas (CDFC) - 250 League Games

Postby Big Phil » Mon Apr 13, 2015 9:32 pm

Got some stats from CDFC today regarding Paul Thomas' career, ahead of his 250th game this Friday night...

It is an impressive football resume and, having been close mates with Thomo all through High School, one I am proud of him for achieving...

Congratulations on a great career, to date, Paul. All the best for the future...

Yeah, as mentioned, 8 games at Essendon. Story goes that Sheedy didn't like or rate him (despite Essendon recruiting him?

Should have played more AFL in my opinion but no qualms from me with carving out the SANFL career he has, instead :)

Mathematically still possible!
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Hard to believe Essendon drafted him and then let him go after just 1 year? Also surprising another club didn't give him a shot? Still AFL loss Centrals gain!
Piss weak SANFL and the CLOWNS who run it.

One of very few from that side of Gepps Cross who I admire and respect. As noted, an enviable resume that is matched by very few.

Crows rookie list in early 2000's iirc

At that stage he hadn't really cracked Centrals league side I think
