LOL, that's hilarious ...

On Grocke being injured :
This is what the coach Godden had to say
" It is not irrelevant[losing Grocke] but it was not the reason we lost."
" We just don't seem to be able to score."

Grocke was injured in the first quarter
That's one player short for just over 75 % of this match
Added to this , Grocke is a forward who is capable of kicking goals
The injury meant North only had to worry about manning up on 2 tall forwards and not 3[if he was playing forward]

Therefore it is a reason why WWT lost ?

Yes nicely put Mr Fuller!
Well with the closure of GMH coming ever closer :( , we might just make a little effort here, after letting things pan out to the point of ridiculous!! .
The coaching life of MICK ......... He's not the messiah, he's just a very stubborn little man!
Sometimes even when your getting well thrashed, it's funny ie. I heard a Rooster fan say ' Hey Godden are you Fuller in disguise?', ...... NO PLAN B......etc!
Now Michael, not knowing you, I'll assume your quite smart and were a competent sparkie and can definitely coach as per your CV.
So how has it all come to this, how is it three seasons on from such a triumphant 2011 grand final, that your backed into this dark stinking corner seemingly at a loss to move forward?
Let's not listen to H78..... let's now insert some Albert Einstein, ie. the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different outcome!
Mr Fuller is spot on, so let's not go there but instead have a H78 quickie history lesson.....( time for non Eagles to rack off)
We've been banging on for years now to GO RECRUIT A FORKING MIDFIELD FOR F---SAKE!
It's as if Mick you have gone against the way Norwood played and recruited under Bassett, determined to do it your own way, yet the game sadly is played at all levels top to bottom, Australia wide with end to end midfield presses and non stop rotating.
It's as if the last 3 years have been a grinding battle against the odds.... and we've lost!
Keeping a fantastic club servant in Powell for the last 3 years hasn't worked because when he continues to be in your best players each week and we have had 3 dead end runs at finals, it means nobody is stepping up to take over!!!!!!!
Flash has been a resounding success because the game has changed closely back to his strengths with each passing year!
And keeping Powell for leadership hasn't worked either because he's just not the type unfortunately, few are to be fair!
If 2015 is to stand any chance of being any different, Mick you must sit yourself down with half a case of shit hot Barossa reds and finally admit your mistakes and mistrusts, acknowledge we can not move forward without a TOTAL and Committed recruitment of a full compliment of midfielders.
Too many of these young lads are being played as midfield types but the truth is that they are hardly up to playing in a forward pocket or flank, let alone as engine room grunt mids that can take the game on.
Yes, 3 years on Mick, and this surely can't be what you had in mind?
Each year we are getting worse with the same old front runners racking up free league games while they can!
To make the point, though he's hardly the only one, what's Goldworthy's last 3 years been like?
Same as the teams' I'd say!
Why isn't Ainger a better player for us?
Need's seriously strong onfield leadership to develop and clearly doesn't get it!
Why have we had the same type season 3 years running?
We are devoid of strong onfield leadership and have ignored strong midfield recruits ( Boyd excluded..... one doesn't cut it for 3 years!) thus are getting the famous Ken Hinckley, what we deserve!
You've tried the early morning training Mick, how did that do...... long term... not too good; Time to be honest, I mean look in the mirror honest,
coz half this team really suck
And finally a word from the real cheap seats........ supporters ( and there aint many now) don't want to watch potential for the sake of it.... boring :Hangman:

The good news is the Eagles won't have to play North again this year. Or Adelaide. Or Central.

Just need a decent win against West and then get a dream Elimination Final against South to get the confidence back, then it is just 3 more wins and a Premiership! Easy!

Thanks, North. Now if you could be so kindly as to step aside for us this week, that'd be great.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

Hey... don't knock the Panthers.
'We' are the form team leading into the Finals!
Will beat Sturt this week to make 4 straight - remember what the 'Cocks' did last year?

Article about 25 year old debutant from North Adelaide curtesy of our sporting life SA.

The top story to come out of SANFL round 17 is the debut of Yatala Labour Prison correctional officer, 25-year-old super boot Darren Shillabeer with North Adelaide. After spending the majority of this year in the reserves Shillabeer made a stunning first up senior appearance in the Saturday game at Prospect Oval against the Eagles. The 195 cm, 98 kg key position player had 17 possessions, including 15 kicks and took a match-high 13 marks.
As the Roosters charged home after the main break, kicking 11 goals to four to defeat the Eagles by 38 points, Shillabeer kicked three goals in the second half and finished with 3.3 in his initial match. “Darren had been in consistent form in the reserves, developing his game under our coaching staff,” Roosters Football Manager Darryl Wintle said. “It was a pretty complete performance first up. “His last goal was kicked from 65 metre out after the final siren kicking towards the northern end of Prospect Oval. “He is a booming kick and that ball traveled through the post half way up.”
From Central Augusta, he is the nephew of Norwood half forward/rover David Shillabeer, who played 35 league games with the Redlegs in the Robert Oatey era between 1966 and 1970. Darren played four years of junior football in the SANFL - two at Under 17 level with the Roosters - and one each with North and Norwood in the Under 19’s. Shillabeer has enjoyed three A-grade flags in the Spencer Gulf competition, one under Gary Kernahan (Stephen Kernahan’s older sibling) as a 17-year-old in 2006 and two with the Central Bloods under former West/Port Adelaide strong man Ray Hayes in 2010 and 2011. He felt this was his last opportunity to have a crack at SANFL footy. “Craig Brooks (North reserves coach) has used me as a bit of a swing man,” Shillabeer confirmed. “I started at centre half back and then went forward. “I’m keen to have another big pre-season and play consistent league football next year. “A couple of the points were from mongrel kicks in the last term, before that last one.”
Footnote - Shillabeer explained that his previous shot was a 'mongrel' and after receiving a pass from Nick Amato late in the game he suggested to the boys he'd have a shot. The rumours that he can kick a ball over a wheat silo like Billy Brownless are unconfirmed!

SANFL counts ants and tumbleweeds through the gates these days, anyhow it's SA-AFL comp for anyone that's even half arsed anymore!
Let's hope Davies takes his magic to Port Flowers just like his SANFL stint; Get the Whickerman on the Board down there also! Outstanding
