South probably put together their best 4 quarter performance of the season in their last home game v North. That's the sort of form they will need to bring on Saturday to compete with Port, as opposed to their shocker of a first quarter at Norwood two weeks ago. I don't see a blow out here but think Port will get the points.

I think the three named ins will play.

I think Houigan will miss not sure about the other.

Great to see Bass playing in the reserves.

South by 64 points.

This could be curtains, in terms of Finals :(
South's last 8 weeks has been very disappointing - particularly the 2 losses to the Cows Reserves.
Hope they can get a win but tipping PAPs Reserves by 5 to 10 goals, depending on weather conditions :(
One thing is certain - it will be bloody cold @ Noarlunga on Saturday!

If all of Moore, Neade, Amon & Mitchell don't play (up to 3 of them could in theory—but the fact that the AFL side plays Sunday afternoon means a few may get held back), then it's the weakest Port Adelaide SANFL side for quite a few weeks. The South side looks relatively strong.

This is near enough to a final for South—win this, and they only need to beat West in a cuppla weeks and they're in the 5. Lose, and South's current form line, tough draw, history at the back-end of the minor round in recent years, plus the sheer number of teams in the chasing pack, all say they'll miss.

South will be wearing a special guernsey to celebrate the 1964 premiership. I have purchased one through the club, cost a little bit of money but as a south supporter, I don't think I will be buying too many premiership jumpers in my lifetime. Hopefully we can repeat the same result as 1964 and not 1979 when, as a 10 year old, I left the game crying.

Well done to Murphy and N. Daniel on their personal milestones.

Need to start well. Not a bad side on paper although key backs aren't in great nick. Can The Future play them back into form? Summerton usually kills us, so Veide a crucial out.

Motivation to make the long trip south to watch this contrived match is lacking.

This could be one of ports weakest sides in quite a while. Therefore in theory we have a decent chance? Don't think so. We struggle against any side that runs hard and creates space.
We would have to play as good as we possibly can to get the points in this game, and to be honest our form line is dipping! Hope we can but doubt it!!

I like how they didn't put sponsor logo's all over their 1964 replica Guernsey, wish port hadn't put logo's on their 1914 Guernsey

With Port having a few better player being elevated this week, it does not look as strong as it has in past weeks.

Rolfe back in the forward lines for South will add a lot more spark in attack, Cailotto is getting the feel of League football, Brooksby is able to drop back if needed, Thewlis is playing as good as we have seen him this year, Caleb Daniels can still improve his game and Eddy likes kicking goals at Noarlunga oval.

I am more confident now that South will win this time.

The '64 replica jumper is a terrific move by the club, I think the white piping around the arm and neck makes it stand out.
I wish my remembering was as good as my forgetting

Would have thought the guernsey they used for the photo would be #64 not #62, just doesn't look right

Great Win by the Panthers....!!!!
Commemorating the 64 premiership in great style...players from that side in the rooms before the game...sang the song with the playing group post game.
South were all over Port early in the game and should have been further in front at the main break. hung on grimly in a defensive slog in the last quarter.
Skipper Josh Thewlis withdrew pre game..with an achilles injury...doesnt sound good for the rest of the year... Souths injury list continues to grow.

How good was that.... If it bleeds it can be beaten. This season is far from over for us and the rest of the competition!
