As the head of the Alice Springs football once said to me when I asked about the number of spectators that come to games in Alice in the boots of cars and through un-authorised "gaps" in the fence, "We might not get them when they come through the gate, but by Christ we get them when they go to the bar and canteen...."

Who cares is Crows supporters get in for nix it's money the clubs don't see directly, our clubs will "profit" once they start buying food and drink.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So we should just make SANFL games free then?

Doesn't gate money go to the SANFL anyway and season tickets sales go to the clubs?

Yes it does Brodlach.

Central District are showing signs of desperation as the era is over and they understand being an average crowd puller they need to do something to attract people.

It will only encourage the current Crows fans, who are also members of their SANFL clubs, to ditch their SANFL club and attend the Ravens games for free, how does that help the league?

Would think its the SANFL.
I know with my Essendon membership we only get entry to home VFL games, pretty sure Collingwood and Geelong are the same

It makes you wonder doesn't it.

I don't attend AFLgames but I might become a member of a SANFL club and I will also get free AFL games. That's fair. :D

I wonder if you're a football member of Adelaide Oval if you'll get free tix too?
What pay $200+ to follow North a year when I can follow the Powder or Ravens for free?

I just checked my Adelaide Oval Membership entitlements.
The new Adelaide Oval Football Membership is a fully-transferable, all-football membership product with benefits including:

3. Access to all SANFL home and away matches at Adelaide Oval; (??)

4. Access to all SANFL Finals and SANFL Grand Final (wherever these matches are held);

5. Access to six SANFL home and away matches at suburban grounds;

Usually get a little excited when I get my membership form in the mail (beats the bills and junk) but this year just felt meh, felt nothing, still sitting on the floor of the car.
Finding it harder and harder to keep up interest. The little things, news items, player movements etc that kept you going in the off-season, just aren't doing it any more.

Cheers for the info, will suit me to a t as I might just get a home match pass for North and have 18 free entries to other SANFL games for me and mates plus finals covered as I'm getting 3 tickets for Adelaide Oval members.

So are the Crows promising 4000 paying customers on top of their members that get in for free? SANFL clubs had better have heaps of Chardonnay ready to sell at their BBQ stands.
