I would certainly be interested, especially the Sturt game. I recently bought the 69 Grand Final on video, so it would make a nice companion.

A copy of the Escort Cup Final DVD would be available by contacting the Eagles Club on 83472444 and asking to be able to contact the club Historian

I cannot recommend the 1969 DVD highly enough. I don't even reckon you have to be a Woodville supporter to enjoy it - my Panther barracking mate loved it. Sturt are a bit sluggish, but the Peckers are on fire, coming from behind at three quarter time. Noel Teasdale appears to have cloned himself at all points of the ground - he must take half a dozen marks in this quarter. Dean Ottens v Craig McKellar in the ruck. And right on cue late in the game, Blighty takes a screamer over the back of (I think) Greg Wild and proceeds to blast a massive screw punt through from only 30 metres. The kicking in this era is something else - drop kicks, flat punts that float, stab passes. Augmenting all this is the commentary from Ian Day (sounding EXACTLY the same as in the 80's), Pat Hall and guest barracker, er, commentator John Halbert ("oh no Schoffy!").

What he said! Mac and I finally caught up tonight and he brought the DVD over to watch and it is SENSATIONAL. I was dubious about the quality of the footage but it was fine. Took me right back to watching the saturday night replay on the old black and white. And the Woodville legends that are in it.....Teasdale, Blight, McKellar, Huppatz, Hansch, McVicar, Sewer even Barrie Barbary and some great Sturt names as well Bagshaw, Shearman, Schoff, Ottens, Nunan, Greenslade and Diamond Jim Tilbrook. Great stuff!!!!
Bob Scholfield is umpiring the game and because the camera is in the Percy Fox Stand and it has mostly away (Sturt) supporters in it you can hear the crowd going off at him  Even one of the commentators (Hall I think) mentions his display. But take nothing away from Woodville they were very good.
The footage at the end of Teasdale being chaired off by teammates and excited supporters is the crowning glory.
One thing that really stood out for me (being an old cheer squader myself) was that the Woodville Cheer Squad had 5 (yes! 5!) fence banners including "The Powerful Pressuring Peckers for Premiers". I started going to footy regularly in the mid 70's and only remember ever seeing that one.
Anyway a great piece of footage and well worth tracking down! 5 Thumbs up
