EAGLE NEWS #7

Postby cd » Wed Jul 05, 2006 2:02 pm

1. Thank you to all who joined in the Ebay auction for our West Torrens heritage jumpers. Congratulations to those lucky enough to be successful – I wasn’t! Start saving now for the Woodville 1964 jumpers which will be available after the game in August.

2. After the bye we have a few off the injury list so selection this week will be difficult but it is a good position to be in – in that we have guys fighting for spots in the league team.

3. This week’s game at Woodville starts at 2:15pm due to being the TV game.
BUT
all supporters need to get along to support our annual Charity Day with funds going to the players’ charity of Ronald Mc Donald House and to the Special Children’s Christmas Party. Hills Industries – our major sponsor will donate $1 for every patron attending on Saturday plus from Vili there is a free donut each to the first 1000 through the gate.

4. Also this Saturday night is trivia night – you can book a table or as individuals with Georgie at the club – great prizes and only $10 a ticket.

5. Makes Saturday a big day out for Eagles fans – Charity Day and a great game against Centrals, Presentations for the Norwood game and the Centrals game at 6:15 followed by the Trivia Night – with time to grab a bite to eat at the Oval Bistro or the Eagles Bar & Bistro on Port Road!

6. Current Membership is 1934 . Last year was a record at 2004 so 70 to go to equal or 71 to make this another record year. If you aren’t a member get on board now – membership is a great way to support your Club.

See you at the footy

CD - Any word on how those history of West Torrens and Woodville books are going? Do you know if enough interest has been shown to get them printed?

Great work Col. I am quite dismayed at the fact I know more about what goes on at your club than I know about my club and I am there every week in an official capacity. All clubs should take a leaf out of your book on this one.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Well done to all involved at the club for fundraising etc.
I had an affliation at the club as a junior cricketer and
one thing for sure then and now is the guys working
behind the scenes at this club in footy + cricket
do a fantastic job.

Keep the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ rolling.

And at least one flag for the effort ![unless Norwood is involved ]

Also on Saturday for members up stairs from 5 is the sausage sizzle so you dont go hungry while waiting for presentations.

Also a great night at Sammy's on the Marina coming up next week - Ross Aloisi (Adelaide United star and WWTFC member) guest speaker - bookings at the club - limited numbers - all welcome - next Friday night.

As I just said on footysa, I didn't know that Ross Aloisi was an Eagles Member and suporter. Maybe he could help with the chearsquad at games and banners when not busy.
