A post has been deleted about a tribunal decision last night. We cannot discuss any tribunal decision in an open forum. Multiple clubs have been in contact with the SFL President today. Comments can be made through your clubs. Please be aware that if you weren't at the tribunal hearing last night you don't know what evidence was presented and what influenced the decision. I wasn't at the tribunal and don't know what the commissioners were given either.

So we aren't allowed to know how many games he got?
Why can't we discuss the penalty?
Strange, unless its a criminal case.[/quote

He should be the one missing the rest of the year!!!

The Shoes runner is a serial offender at staying on the ground too long but you know what if you can get away.with it and the umpires arent smart enough to pick up on it then good luck to you.

But grabbing a.player is totally and utterly unacceptable and he should be at the very least spoken too by the SFL.

When did a RUNNER last win a game of football off his own boot?

Don't know bout you guys but don't you go to the footy to watch the game not the runner!!
Called through after Father's Day lunch and as a spectator the game looked to be played at a very good standard albeit reynella looked very slow and no where near as hard at the footy as the $hoes..Is this the end of G.P or will the Dogga hang round to show him the way like he has in the last 4 or 5 years and lead this ageing list out of the quagmire...Time to regenerate I think.Brighton and $hoes get the job done this week..!

This is a pretty average, and uninformed comment on one of the most respected coaches in the SFL. Do you have some agenda here?

Yep and that is why the league is in the state it is.! The punishment should reflect the crime...so lets look at the result of the crime...

Operation $$$$$
Loss of wages $$$$$$
Pain and Suffering $$$$$$$

Would the player be available to play sport again in 2 weeks ??????? NO and now they want to appeal OMG !!!!!!!

2 Fu##ing weeks you are kidding me
Hopefully the lad or his family takes this further. I estimate lawyer, court costs and payout somewhere in the region of $50 k

Surely they aren't going to appeal.

OK appeal, lose and give him an extra 4 games for being an ungrateful pack of ferals.

2 games for intentionally elbowing a player in the head is woeful SFL!

This weeks games:

Prelim Final #1 : Flagstaff Hill vs Noarlunga @ Porties - Potentially a great game of footy, Shoes in a close one for me

Prelim Final #2: Brighton vs Morphett Vale @ Noarlunga - Emus to send the Bombers packing their rolled up jean shorts to the Ammos.

I was really impressed with the Falcons 2 weeks ago so there my tip in game 1

Emus - a couple of injury worries but if we play well would like to think we could knock off the latte sippers.

Discraceful!!! SFL are a basket case.
Some very upset people throughout the league and rightly so.

Jonas from Port gets 6 games for knocking out a bloke who played 2 weeks later. Yet a lad has his jaw broken off the ball with a deliberate elbow that required 4 screws to be inserted to hold it together in front of dozens of witnesses including an umpire and only gets 2 weeks??
He's going to be eating through a straw for 6 weeks for crying out loud!!!

I encourage every Reynella supporter to wear our club colours this weekend and get behind Flaggies.

Not sure why any parent would want their lad playing is this league.

Interesting there's no mention of Moreens stitches and fractured eye socket on here
Reynella supporters can wear what ever colours they want , it's the ones on the paddock that count

Was it an intentional elbow? Was the culprit red carded?
Did the reynella supporters cheer the bloke who did it?

Didn't see the incident, so no more than an interested observer. It seems that there are two very different stories going around. 1 a football collision and 1 a fairly unsavoury elbow - well off the ball. These are 2 very different things. Surely if we strip away emotion and club v club hatred some common sense needs to come to the fore and a little truth be reported. Maybe yet another finals loss to Shoes has a fairly disappointed Reynella clutching At straws and letting emotion get in the way of the facts.

Hey Dutchy, King and 85WAGY - at least all this talk on the "other topic" has taken our petty C grade bickering off the front page.

Pantherman, the Shoes player rang the Reynella coach after the game, admitted that he f*cked up, admitted that he immediately regretted what he did and showed genuine concern for Bradwell. Doesn't sound like he thought it was just a football collision???? Strange how he completely changed his tune and then pleaded not guilty after the Shoes got in his ear and told him what to say at the Tribunal. Face facts, it was a dog act and he deserved more than two games
