There was a bit of a write up on my son, it was meant to be in all messengers last week but it seemed to only be in the southern one, a bit of a bummer considering we live north and I figured it just wasn't published in any last week, I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it.

I just found it online, I might email them.
It's just a bit more sentimental when it's in a newspaper, he feels a bit inferior as my daughter has had full page articles on her in a few newspapers and a couple magazines.

Can you keep hold of it please? I'll tee something up during my travels on a Sunday one week when my daughter is playing down that way.

Re: I need to know....
Well given we had over 4000 calls in one day yesterday, which is more calls than our claims area would get in a 2 -3 week period (not sure on todays figures) after the storms on Friday, I know I haven't had time to do SFA

Re: I need to know....
My partner divorced from her ex a couple of years ago - they were renting together, and he moved out, she stayed on in the house.
Recently we moved out of that house, and he went online and completed the bond refund form without her knowing - as a result he got the entire bond refunded directly into his bank account.
Is there anything that can be done about that? Bloke doesn't even pay child support, he didn't pay the bond in the first place and he hasn't lived in the house for 2yrs!

The rental agreement was for more than 2 years? Isn't it renewed every year or something? WHy was he still on it in the first place if that was the case.

Think it was renewed every year? The rental agency just rolled over the agreement in 12 month blocks i think - good question though, not sure why he was still on it! None the less, fair to say i'm far from impressed!

I'd be questioning that for starters...

If anything he should be giving up 50% of it. Sadly from the outside it looks like a bitter and childish act from his side of things.

That's what i said also!
But as was pointed out, it's not like he contributed to the cleaning up and discarding of the mess he left behind when he moved out, or helped to maintain the property, or even pay child support for his own kid!

*edit* fair to say now i'm sounding a bit petty and venting lol

How in this day and age can scumbags still get away without paying child support?

Re: I need to know....
Zartan,
Out of interest, is there a receipt for the bond, and if so, who does it say paid it?
Re: repayment of the bond, the 'tenant' can apply for the repayment of the whole amount of the bond (so too can the landlord, or it can be done jointly).
"Tenant" is defined in the Residential Tenancies Act as 'the person who is granted a right of occupancy under a residential tenancy agreement or a person to whom the right passes by assignment or operation of law and includes a prospective tenant or a former tenant'.
http://www.austlii.edu.au/au/legis/sa/c ... 7/s63.html
So if the lease was in your ex's name only, then she's the tenant and the bond is owed to her. You might be able to have a crack at this in the SACAT, perhaps give them a call to find out or check them out on-line - http://www.sacat.sa.gov.au/types-of-cas ... g-disputes.
