That look of "You stupid mother **** I've never heard anything that stupid. Not since the last time you spoke anyway"

Well, in Foodland last night this bloke was suggesting that he and his Mrs have steak, chips and eggs for tea "Home cooked mixed grill, babe".

Dumbest thing she has ever, ever heard. Couldn't help myself....I lol'd.

Mrs Boon obviously doesn't like "home cooked mixed grill" then.....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Why are Carlton Draught tinnies the same colour as Melbourne Bitter and why did they change from white?

According to the SA Summary Offences Act, maybe.

A person who behaves in an indecent manner in a public place, while visible from a public place or in a police station, or so as to offend or insult anyone is guilty of an offence - maximum penalty: $1,250 or 3 months imprisonment.

The question is whether going topless, assuming its public, is behaviour in an indecent manner or would offend or insult anyone. Hard to say whether it would or not, probably a question of current public standards. On a beach, summer time on a weekday, quietly sunbaking, maybe not many other people around...unlikely in that context.

However, it is not illegal to be naked in an area, or in waters adjacent to an area, reserved for nude bathing.

They (Carlton Draught) changed to the silver colour roughly 2 years ago as a promo to make them look like mini kegs. Before that they'd been maroon for a long time.

I'd call it a "Rust" colour, which I swear is what's in the water they make the beer with.

I've tried copious amounts of different beers & at the end of the day, IMO nothing beats a Melbourne tin straight off the ice.

Melbourne's are surprisingly good. Like most beers, better out of a stubby.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

I recently tried Asahi and quite liked it despite not being a big beer drinker.

I remember when they were 'white cans"
Maybe they were deemed racist

Probably my favourite drop. Melbourne Bitter's are surprisingly drinkable, and far ahead of the other Vic domestic beers.

Growing up in the back blocks of the NT in a mining community for the frequent parties my parents had/attended by the age of 10 I had to know my cans when fishing them out of the bins*:

red can, blue can, green can, white can, light can, barbed wire....

(Melb Bitter, Fosters, VB, Carlton Draught, Carlton Light, XXXX)

Used to get the old metal rubbish bins hose them out, but a bin liner in then chuck 1-2 cartons in the bins and then cover with cobious amounts of ice. No responsible serving or alcohol for this child of the 70s/80s....

Fridges were used to keep the free prawns off the trawlers in....
