Didn’t have high expectations of playing well. I didn’t disappoint!

26 pts. His some decent shots at times, but threw in enough rubbish. Left 15 shots out there easy!

It was a little brisk at 8.00am when we hit off. 3 layers on, plus the beanie on! By the time we got to the 15th, cap, sunnies on, and both jumper and puffer jacket off.

Booked in for next Saturday, may even play Sunday, sure to be pumped up after watching the Masters coverage.

Even better having the following week off. Heading to Rich River (Echuca) for 3 nights. Will play Wednesday & Thursday so long as the body holds up.

Rounded out yesterday with a few refreshments at my local, and a handy day on the punt. I disgraced myself on Friday in the Spargo Good Friday at Ascot. Don’t think I even had 1 collect!
Have you played Rich river before?

Clare on Good Friday, they have had some nice rain up there so course was very green and rough was challenging, unfortunately most of the greens are in poor condition but still ran ok but its pretty disappointing when the rest of the course is in good nick. Enjoyable hit all the same.

96 OTS and 31 points, played Ok in patches, that's it for me for a few months, looking forward to being bale to put weight on the front leg again when I resume

had to change grip on the Driver as it was loose at the top.
first round with the change was saturday. didnt swing at full speed, which for me isnt quick, but hit all bar 1 fairway.
37pts

today, Driver not so consistent, but still manageable. 36pts with a silly scrub on 12th.

happy with those 2 days. front 9 today was +3

9 holes masters monday

Shotgun start.
4th hole. On in 3 fairly simple putt but had a lot of break..... smashed it. 4 putt scrub

Mt Osmond this morning.
Fog, drizzly crappy annoying drizzle.

Started off with a good drive, down the left and fed back to fairway. Didnt quite hit 7i flush but bounced onto green. Smashed 1st putt, messed up the next, picked up not realising i could have got a point. And when you only finish with 18, that would have been handy.
Unlucky a couple of times but nowhere near it today.

Temporary green on the first for a redevelopment of the 9th green, water feature and remodelling outside the club.

Awful start, bogey, par, bogey, awful end to the front, cold and wet, beers started.

Im fairly honest about my lack of ability...

However
9 holes today.
Somehow birdied the 1st.
Havent fully fixed driver but its improved. Think i found something out there today with my swing.

RICH RIVER - Echuca/Moama

Played and stayed 3 days last week.

The way it worked out I played the East course on both Wed & Thurs. In ripping condition. Some of the best greens I have played, very true, and quick, but not stupid quick.

Bunkers well maintained.

By what I could see of the West course, also in great condition.

Played in the mens midweek comp on Thursday - 280 odd in the field, bugger me!

No good scores to report, but enjoyed it all the same.

Happy hour in the Clubhouse - every day 5-6pm - $5 schooners (that's pints to you crowie's) take your pick of any of the 15-20 beers on tap!

We ate at the golf club 3 nights in a row, standard fare really.

If you have the time, it's worth a few days here for sure.

flaggy this morning

going along ok. made a nice par on 7th, on edge of left bunker, flop shot over the bunker onto green, sank the 20ft

on 8 - 3rd shot - 76m or something, little GW, thinking dont pull it left into bunker and then pushed it right and watched it run to edge of creek, finished with a 7. birdie on 9, 17 points at the turn, acceptable.

10th, green in 2, ok first putt and then the par putt from a foot, spat back at me... so 3 putt 5
11th - 76m, fairway - gw again. flag left hand half of green, im going straight at it - nope, shanked it to the top of the mound at the back on the right.... good chip down but again 5
same again on 13th - 3 putt 4. 14th - 2 putt 4. 16 - 2 putt 5 lost ball on 17. finished with a 1 putt par.
home in the ambulance thats ramped up - 29pts

Mt Osmond tomorrow morning for some redemption on last week.

That’s a nice idea, been talking about Corona Jnr coming over, and meeting them up there. However with a big holiday and travel plans coming together for 2027, I don’t see it for a few years just yet.
