Re: NBA
Not quite the same as LeBron. LeBron was on the losing finals side before joining a team who was knocked out earlier. Durant is kinda doing the opposite.
Durant joining the Warriors won't mean they suddenly get 30 points a game better. It'll mean Curry and Thompson may take less shots and Durant's own offensive output will be different. I'd not be surprised if we find a significant lack of chemistry next season. Plus, some of these guys are going to have to defend.....

Jump ship?? Haha! He's given OKC 9 years.
It's Paddy Dangerfield all over again!
All the best to Durant. Comes across as a top bloke.
I apologise.

I half expected there to be a thought all along that if Wade left Miami it would be to join James in Cleveland, but it seems nobody thinks that's even a remote chance. Maybe they can't afford it, but especially with Delly moving on I wonder whether he might be a good fit. Not a great shooter so the game is moving away from his style, but class is class.

I just don't get that mentality with the NBA. If a Ablett, Hurley, Fyfe etc moved to the Hawks at seasons end they would be lauded for trying to win a flag. A guy like KD who is chasing a crown does it and he is a soft coward[emoji47]
Big difference between the NBA and AFL. In any case I recall plenty of backlash when Buddy Franklin joined Sydney for example. That bandwaggoner 'if you can't beat em join em' mentality is rightly frowned upon by many. Durant himself was critical of LeBron when he joined Miami. Now he's outdone him tenfold. Just spineless. 29 teams will be playing for 2nd place.

Maybe those 29 teams should lift their game rather than bring others down. I love my Knicks but if I was a player and was offered $200k a year to play with GSW or $10m a year to play with a bottom side I'm taking the $200k a year every day of the week.

lol yeah, simply lift your game if you want to beat the team with 4 of the best dozen or so players in the league in it. I totally get that bandwaggoner mentality from a fan's point of view but seeing a top 5 NBA player show that same mentality is something else.
LeBron should just take a pay cut and join the Warriors too. Just winning is what it's all about after all.

Re: NBA
Get rid of the draft, everyone enters the league as a FA.
Bring in an absolute hard cap.
Get rid of max salaries.
Watch the talent spread around the league and guys like LeBron, Steph and KD etc make what they're actually worth.

Re: NBA
Andrew Bogut and a 2nd round pick traded to Dallas for a 2nd round pick and Delly's offer with Milwaukee wasn't matched by the Cavs and he's now officially signed with the Bucks.

Re: NBA
Good to see Delly get paid. I'm sure he'll be a great presence for Thon Maker too.
Hope Bogut enjoys life in Dallas, playing for an awesome owner in Mark Cuban.
I doubt Detroit hang on to Cam Bairstow but would be great if they did. 2 Aussies on 2 different teams would NOT be a first but still cool though lol.
Never thought Wade would actually end up leaving Miami. Thought all the talking to other teams was just posturing and he'd inevitably stay with the Heat.

Bairstow's chances of hanging on just got even slimmer with the Pistons just signing Boban Marjanovic to an offer sheet which could even effect the future of Baynes in Detroit.
Don't forget it's happened before Patty & Baynes at the Spurs and Dante & Ingles at Utah.

Ah of course, dumb quick post oversight by me.
I think the Pistons have till the 25th of July to waive Bairstow so would expect it around then. I wonder where he goes next in that case?

Re: NBA
Golden States star studded team already 0-1 with the loss to the Spurs today. Looks like with Duncan gone it has now become Leonards team
