Think that would be reasonable; even perhaps 350pt.

I mean you look at their points for - 885 and 516 came in one hit.. their percentage jumped by like 26%

Be a strange door for the league to open... even to consider it. opens all sorts of cans of worms.

They have the power to adjust things based on selected issues... not based on a for or against score. IE lots of red cards, over for points players etc

Eastern Park copping a huge hit last weekend and putting a dent in not only in their premiership hopes but also to the spirit of the boys still running around.. 2 season ending ACL injuries early in the piece against Ingle Farm. 2 of their best players by far I might add.

Matty Glenn been instrumental while playing for the demons and arguably the best ball user at the club.

Pj Diedrichsen easily the best footballer at EP, he’s the captain of the footy club and a 5x A grade best and fairest winner, anyone that knows him knows his worth around the place both on and off the field.

Shattering for the footy club, both of the boys and everyone else throwing on a guernsey for the demons.

Agree to disagree.. wonder if your position would be different if it wasn’t your club that clocked up the 80 goal.. or if your club was one of the 5 that haven’t played Elizabeth yet.

Wonder how Units will feel next week when they get beaten.

If your score was a once off against that side I’d agree, fair game.. but it’s not.

Terrible news for both men, nothing worse than seeing peoples season ended through injury - especially two influential and respected men of a club. Even tougher pill to swallow given the season EP could have.

Wish them both a speedy recovery, and hopefully return firing in 2025.

Understand where you're coming from but yeah we disagree.

clubs win, clubs lose, clubs get smashed, clubs smash.

Fitzroy went 640+ days in a row without a win at one stage not even that long ago. and, copped some hidings in that time. our cumulative loss total was pretty large as well.

in that time, Elizabeth was still winning games in D5.

we dug our way out of a pretty bleak hole, and TBH, we still wouldn't have 50+ people who are 0 points running around at other clubs we could at least call to try and come home.

As much as I think it sucks a team could be disadvantaged by the results so far what a massive can of worms to start manipulating % on games that were played 100% with in the rules of the comp. What number of new ins makes the prior results irrelevant. Can’t see how the league could find a fair assumption on that as well. Why should Fitzroy lose % over Eastern Park when they had equal opportunity against the same side.

But that is why I do think Elizabeth need to face some form of punishment for next season in regards to bringing the comp into disruption

Genuinely curious here; why do you think we should be punished, and what punishment is adequate in your mind?

Of course it sucks - 4x teams afforded the opportunity to kick a cricket score before national attention prompted faithful to return to the club.

Reality is until games are played we don’t know how good / improved Elizabeth are, and what difference there is.. but if they go from average 350 point losses to say 50 point losses then it’s pretty ******* obvious and fair assumption.

As for future punishment I don’t buy into that, they’ve actually done nothing wrong.

Surely you’re not serious?

What punishment could be worse than a 516 point humiliation for the world to see? Why punish those trying to fix the problem?

At least they kept going out there and not throwing the whole comp into disrepute.

Ladder after Rd 5
10 - Eastern Park
10 - Salisbury
08 - Fitzroy
06 - Ingle Farm
06 - St Pauls OS
----------------------------
04 - Houghton
04 - Adelaide Lutheran
02 - Rosewater
00 - Central United
00 - Elizabeth

Round 6:
Salisbury v Fitzroy
Elizabeth v Central United
Adelaide Lutheran v Ingle Farm
Eastern Park v St Paul's OS
Houghton v Rosewater

Round 6 looks to be an absolute beauty! Salisbury and Fitzroy fighting it out - will Fitzroy be too strong? Will Salisbury continue on their merry way?

Then at the opposite end of the spectrum one of Central United and Elizabeth will break their drought this week and enjoy winners froffies for the first time in 2024. The other will begin planning for D7 in 2025.

Lutheran vs Farmers at the home of the states worst changerooms will be a tough task - Lutheran not that bad, Farmers not that good.. lack of atmosphere out in the parklands, wind factor and a smallish ground may work in the favour of the taller Bulldogs from Luthies.

Eastern Park will have their hands full against St Pauls - Knapp needs a lift, he's let Rosenthal get a good break on him for the D6 Coleman.

Houghton and Rosewater will also be a cracking contest - Raiders need to win to stay in touch with the 5, Rosewater similarly need to get some space away from relegation zone and also stay in the mix for a potentially finals spot.

Any danger of Adelaide Lutheran allocating the correct numbers to players on PlayHQ FFS!

Also, 1st 10min of their match Sat was not bad viewing, Elizabeth looked for the most part in charge but couldn't capitilise, Luthies too tall at the other end.

Similar scoring shots, Fitzroy dominated large chunks of the game - Rosenthal kicked 1 goal 7.

Fitzroy robbed.
