Pittard on the wing? Toumpas in your best 22? Im not convinced Dixon and Schulz will play in the same forward line
Why would they have kept Schulz and recruited Dixon, they wouldn't have both for security reasons. I don't mind Pittard up the field, he's a goer who finds the ball and is let down by disposal, at least his turnovers would be further from the opposition goals.
I like the idea of the walk, but i hate how footy clubs try and appropriate some of the heritage of war, i.e Peter Badcoe etc.
piss off, they were fighting for all of us, not fighting for the port adelaide footy club.
Agree.
On the same sort of line i cant stand to watch any broadcasted ANZAC Day footy. Makes me cringe every time you here the commentators whether that be tv, radio, AFL, SANFL compare the football match to being in the trenches etc etc.
Didn't it occur to you that maybe because Port are playing their 20th season and the Crows their 25th? Hard to imagine why people ignore non SA club supporters.
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.
We are not celebrating a "birthday", or "anniversary". We are wearing a jumper which was worn for our first ever game in the AFL to commemorate the start of our 20th season in the AFL, 1997 being season 1, not 0.
Play on.

Do people celebrate their 21st birthday or their 21st year 12 months earlier?

Didn't you try this on the crows thread last year or the year before & it was explained to you then.

The whole concept is stupid, doesn't matter what clubs or who does it. Perhaps I should have asked for long service leave at the start of my tenth year!

Yes yes you should [emoji12]
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Without drawing you a picture, a football season lasts longer than one day. Kapeesh? It's not rocket science.

A year in someones life last longer than a football season but a celebration is held when that year is complete as do 99.9% of celebrations for anything in this world. It obviously is rocket science to you! The only thing sillier than the Power following stupidly in the Crows claw prints is people that blindly argue the point as its their club. If any of my clubs did it I'd be just as outspoken but I'm not a sheep.

But if I was to celebrate my 21st YEAR of living I would start it the day after my 20th birthday & continue until my 21st birthday. Port are celebrating their 20th season so they do it the season after their 19th & before they complete their 20th. I think.
Pretty normal for clubs to celebrate milestones as a 10th, 20th, etc season rather than anniversary. They also mark the actual anniversary with an event, but usually the entire season is considered celebratory. I guess people have forgotten the AFL's 100th season came 99 years after the first.
