Over 90k at the game, great crowd.
I dont
I find it rather amusing that this pathetic club keeps choking.
Atleast it will stop the Richmond wankfest by the media
Someones a bit jealous their pathetic club is out of the spotlight for 5 minutes

Not at all.
Just sick of hearing this "oh for the good of the comp we need a strong Richmond" crap.
And yes even though my club is pathetic we still won the same ammount of flags as Richmond this year and at the end of the day flags are all that matters

He's a dead set plonker. Throw in Grigg, Houli, Hunt, Maric and they keep recruiting average players who are not improving their squad, they're just stopping them from going down the ladder but not helping them go up.
Hardwick must be under some pressure, you can only say "Next year" so many times. Then again, Richmond fans have been saying "next year" for over 30 years now.
Winning finals since 1982 - Fitzroy 2, Richmond 2.

They still think Maric is the best ruck in the league...delusional

Maric has been good for them. But yes the others are questionable.
Although Grigg has been servicable at the very least I agree with your point. They are mid tier type players and not guys who will get them to the next level.
Chaplin is in his own category. Fair to say he did not have good day.

But he's a cult figure!
Doesn't help them on the field though, does it?

Not best in the league but servicable at least. He does the job and I dont think hes the reason why they haven't progressed over the years.

They're the type of players someone trying to stay at the top could use or someone like GWS who has the talent in the squad but just needs to target recruit a position player. Houli, for instance, would be much more useful to GWS than Richmond. Reasonable AFL players who can add depth to the list and play a role from time to time when needed with injuries to the top players in the group. They are not players to build a premiership side around.

You are dead right on that assessment.
Its only taken until the finals but finally a coach has figured out that the Richmond backline always go to Houli as they see him as the best disposer of the ball. Pity is he always turns onto his left as he has no right foot and the North players blocked the avenue out. Too many sides give him space to turn on his left and get the easy exit.
Watch them go and recruit Stevie J now as they think they are close

If there is some solace in these crazy times it's that Richmond will always be Richmond.

I am not kidding here. Richmond's Facebook page was advertising 2016 memberships straight after the game yesterday....... it was taken down 40 minutes later

I seen a meme saying that since 1982 Fitzroy have won more finals than Richmond.
It was on Facebook so it must be true.
