When a "nerdy T-shirt day" is organised in your group at work, and you're the only one who bothers to turn up in a nerdy T-shirt...

If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
This post has two homes on here.
It's one thing for each page to be littered with adverts, I'd be a little less annoyed if the ads weren't from Glamuse.
Twice I've had people come into my office and there's a page full of skimpy knickers all over one of my screens.....and yes, they both let me know good and proper.
"doing a bit of online shopping?"
"working out what you're wearing Saturday night?"

Total Knee Replacement
Update : 5 months
5 months today I got the knee replaced.
Spoke to the surgeon Tuesday just gone and whilst he's cautious about my lack of sleep, which has not improved. He's concerned without being worried, although he said that if it doesn't improve (under a new course of drugs) in 8 weeks, to call him and they'll do a scan. My new course of drugs includes natural sleeping tablets, natural anti inflammatory, icing twice a day and every now and again I'm adding in a 30 min session in the pool in my backyard.
My knee feels like it's sliding from beneath me - maybe a better way of putting it that when it feels like it's sliding, it IS going to collapse and sends a shooting pain through my knee. It happened again at lunch time today just walking down the street and luckily, I was able to clutch onto a telephone booth in Rundle Mall, otherwise I would've gone over.
I'm staying positive, but it's becoming more difficult.
I've got two mates of mine who are pain free after 6 weeks and 3 months respectively, and I've gone backward at a rate of knots.

Geez mate that sounds no good, already I feel like my knee is more stable than prior to surgery - although it is a weird feeling essentially having a mechanical knee now. Good luck with it, hope it improves from here

Definitely NOT jinxing you at all Dutchy, but mine did too. It's gone backwards and I'm not sure why. I think the lesson learnt being that if it does start hurting, get it seen to quickly!Dutchy wrote:Geez mate that sounds no good, already I feel like my knee is more stable than prior to surgery - although it is a weird feeling essentially having a mechanical knee now. Sometimes I cant even get a logon screen to come up. A workaround I discovered is to click on any user name and select "send private message". For some reason the logon screen appears so you can get into the site and then cancel the private message part.Lightning McQueen wrote:Yeah, it's as bad as it's ever been.MannyK wrote:SA Footy forum loading so slowly.
