Re: Adelaide Turf Cricket
ATCA Heat Policy states that A1 - A3 will play unless SACA calls off all cricket but will invoke the Heat Policy at 40 degrees. So none of the A Grade sides that were higher placed and lost can feel hard done by.
Anything below that can feel hard done by.
The ATCA needs to get some people on the Board and Emergency Committee with balls. A rule in place throughout the season can't be changed just because it is finals.
On the A3 Ingle Farm game I think a lot of credit must go to Ingle Farm. I guess the only concelation for them is that by being Minor Premier they will automatically be promoted to A2.

Councils watering pitches on teh Saturday night of Sat/Sun finals....gee the local Ingle Farm Council must have Alice Springs Town Council recruits.
Happened two years in a row up there 99-00 & 00-01....Rovers won one, they lost the other.....
I couldn't believe it happening two years in a row....

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Miss comunication is a piss poor reality and,pay peanuts you get monkeys,we pay nothing from top up and thats what happens, shame on the people who could have avoided this just have to put up with it,or can someone sort it out, still think teammates were all season and thanks for that, tally was 18 when we left the club.

Re: Adelaide Turf Cricket
now that the full story is out on the Ingle Farm incident, credit must go to Shep who obviously values his clubs reputation more than his own personal glory. good luck to the dogs in A2 next year, clearly the top team in A3, but on that note if anyone was to go through ahead of them it would have to be the bombers who accounted for them a few weeks earlier.

Re: Adelaide Turf Cricket
Full credit to Ingle Farm. You have to respect a group of players who put the standing of the game ahead of the personal goals they have worked hard for all year to achieve.
It was surprising to see how much the ball dominated the bat in the higher grades. I would have expected to see huge scores as the norm considering the temperature on both days. It shows what the pressure of finals can do.

Re: Adelaide Turf Cricket
What are peoples tips for this weeks Major Grand Finals?
After last weekends upsets with the minor premier in all 3 A grade competitions being knocked out the grand finals appear wide open.
A1 - Going for Geppies to beat Grange. No one wants Grange to win.
A2 - Goodies should be too strong for Woody South but if the Hennessy boys have a day out and Spence takes another bag they may make it tough for Goodies.
A3 - Port Districts will be too strong for Brighton. Cooper will make a massive score on the batting friendly Payneham deck.

Yes Willo. I suffer tall poppy syndrome. I have no problem with Grange at all. They've done extremely well in the past decade to win the half a dozen or so flags that they've won.
Medal Winners at the ATCA Count held last night: -
A1 - Ashmead (Pulteney)
A2 - Drew (PAOC) & Vaughan (Hope Valley)
A3 - Gabb (Reynella)

We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.
