Fair enough. If you've got something footy related to post, then put it up, I'll read it and reply if I have something to say on the matter. Do you have any news from Nairne? I've got a cousin who plays there, so I am interested in how they go.
However, if you just get in my face for all the dribble I write, then obviously I'm going to bite back.
Play on though and bring on the '07 footy season!
Don't have a much news on Nairne D.A. I have a beer or two in that direction now and then and all seems very subdued. As you would know Nairne always promise well on paper but continue to disappoint. Haven't seen training yet but will do soon. Saw Callington train last week and none of the hailed recruits had arrived. This week apparently. Very late pre-season! Bring on season 'O7!

The Brookers, who have already opened the chequebook to a fair degree and picked up some very handy players with SANFL and AFL experience, look set to announce one of the biggest recruits to hit the league in a while. No, not Stewart Dew either - although he will probably be out there at some stage this year - but a pretty reasonable footballer who finished top 5 in the Brownlow in the not too distant past.

Meningie's imports left the club in controversial circumstances late last season. Any club recruiting any ex Meningie outsiders may want to be careful with contracts.

All I'm saying is just be careful. I'd only pay per game and wouldn't be handing over any "sign-on" fees!! But if you do get him, he'll be a gun and a stand-out in the HFL. Similar impact to a Shannon Goldsmith or a Roger Wilson.
TWE, Tailem missed out on the finals last year, Meningie slipped into 5th.
ronburgandy wrote:so 2words do you believe that murray is better than hills? that is a big call or d o you get told murray is better than hills?
Have been told that hills is a better standard of football ron. This comes from a few older heads who follow Imperials (top 2 side for the past 8 years or so) every week. In fact they watched the hills grand final last year and beleive the teams playing in the B grade grand final would probably beat the bottom 2 or 3 sides in the A grade of the RMFL. I have never seen Muffy play, but has won a mail medal or 2 aswell as playing league footy for Sturt, therefore must be a pretty good player.

Crumber - story of Nairne's life. It's all premierships and big signings in Jan, then by June, the season is all over. Still, I'll keep and eye on their results. With Luke Murphey on board and possibly a couple of other ex Barkeroos, they could go OK.
M80 - Not too sure about Handorf ins. I know they get Trappy back from OS, and I had heard Timmie Larks also, but others closer to the fray aren't so sure. I think there were a couple of others that had last year off that were returning, but can't think of names. Silky any info on this?

Haven't had to "sign" a lot of players, they are all transferring over for free! A couple of descent big guys, one massive ruckman and another who could be in the Miracle mold.
Fleety will be out at Devs training next week, have heard from a very reliable source.
Does anyone in Uraidla know how to use a computer? Whats going on there?

Uri & computers? Not a chance in the cabbage patch!
Have heard that a few A grade premiership players could find themselves in the sweets come trial time to give the young fellas a crack at the big league.
Plus...If you read this forum Mado, I got the OK to start running as of tonight. Could be out of retirement AGAIN!!! - NOT!!!!! About as much chance of that happening as there is of Shanty winning a flag ever again! - Sweet FA!

spearhead interesting you say that as i just had lunch with fleet. its not that clear cut for him just to go out and play at lofty. there are other factors. next week is when he will make a decision on his playing future for the year.
also heard last night that a possible future captain of the super b's may leave to a div 2 club with the opportunity to play a's which will not happen at lofty.
