I take it you meant if we could only have one.

I think Brookers will play regardless. For me he will play up forward.

Think she may be doing the games in Perth and Adelaide.

Westies & Centrals?

The only two clubs for whom the salary cap would be relevant? The other clubs seem to be getting around it by gaining 'employment' for their players.

Cheers

Guarantee that Sturt is not paying over the salary cap....

Norwood never got done for exceeding the cap either (not for a minute suggesting Sturt are doing anything untoward btw) .. All clubs bend the rules, it's probably just a matter of how far they "bend".

Mitch Duval and Elliot Dunkin quit the Boods.
So too Tom Murphy and Kieran Lovell after 1 season.
Kaine Stevens and Josh Schiller both retire.

Bayman was on the money with the mass exodus!

Mitch Duval was rumoured to be picked up in AFL draft last year.

Was not the same player this year with new coach.

Going back to Unley to play under Scott Thompson?

Norwood incurred one of the biggest salary cap fines ever after their indiscretions in 2012. They were fined $60,000.

West Adelaide who finished second and Port Adelaide also were fined after Salary Cap breaches in 2012

Given that North finished third, I tongue and cheek suggested that we should have been awarded the flag, but I wouldn't have wanted to win a flag that way, I think the fines were sufficient punishment.

SANFL general manager of football Chris Davies said breaches were identified during the 2012 season.
He told AAP the breaches were associated with failing to lodge paperwork on time.
"This is not a salary cap dollar figure breach, this is a salary cap regulation breach," he said.
Mr Davies said the breaches were not a factor in Norwood's domination of the SANFL last year.

Anyhoo, didn't intend to stir up old arguments just highlighted the "Bend" factor which has and will always go on. :D

No idea Ferrett, was just assuming he may go back and play with his brothers at Unley.

Obviously he is going to play at Eagles next year :D

LIST UPDATE – Mitch Duval & Elliot Dunkin

This week the West Adelaide Football Club lost two talented footballers. Both chose to walk away from the club that gave them their senior opportunity. I want to let the members & supporters know that both players were offered comprehensive playing contracts for 2022 but they chose not to accept them. They chose themselves over the playing group, coaches, support staff and you our loyal members and supporters.

We will move on and focus on the players that have committed to this great club and are invested in our plan which is to play finals football and build sustained success.

I want to assure you all the Football Department is working hard to develop our list, we will announce additional signings over the coming weeks and we are excited about the current and emerging talent at our club.

Jeez did West Adelaide get Central District to write that press release? Similar levels of sour grapes to the Menzel departures last season!

I suppose the additional players the bloods will sign in the coming weeks are doing the same as what the mentioned two bloods players have done.
