What a crock of shit, no one anywhere, ever has said to anyone it’s embarrassing to be an Australian.

Actually you are correct. I worded that poorly. I feel like we are expected to be embarrassed to be Australian. I am not.

Get on it ;)
Weird but nice for the PCB to stream a test match on YouTube for free, great accessibility.

Ah, the Abbott and Neser cult continues I see. Clearly they've both got very compromising pictures.

Massive squad, no doubt due to Covid. They didn't used to take that many even when they spent 5 months in England.

Ashton Agar named in T20 squad, has he been injured? Haven't seen him play a game of BBL

Found out hasn't played a game since early December, injured, why the hell would you pick him for the Aussie team with no BBL games or any cricket in 2 months??

Only the test squad.
Wade is in the T20 squad going to NZ at the same time our test team heads off to South Africa

Yeah, it was always 14 or 15 back in the 80's and 90's, and that was for both formats.

So we are about to start the Sheffield Shield season again and the best 37 players are unavailable. Going to be a great Standard!!

Redbacks might do alright with only 3 players out!! My calculations have QLD and TAS with 4 and VIC with 5. The two hardest hit are WA with 10 and NSW with 11!

It's crazy, pick your best team/squad FFS.

The BBL obviously carries no weight in selection, how does Finch retain his spot? would Paine retain his spot if he dropped 15 catches and made no runs in half a shield season?

Agar and Turner????? Seriously?

Here's a simple solution: Pick a team of the BBL, draw a line through any overseas players and replace them with the best performing Aussie player for that role, then pick an extra opening batsman, middle order batsman, pace bowler and spinner. Bang, there's your squad of 15, rinse and repeat if you want to take more players across.

Finch: Piss poor BBL, lucky he is captain.
A.Agar: Didn't even play in the BBL.
Behrendorff: Good to see him back amongst it, 14 wickets with a 6.70 economy.
M.Marsh: Solid BBL in both disciplines.
Maxwell: Batting wasn't great but can't not have him, should be captain IMO.
McDermott: Worthy selection.
Meredith: Genuine tall quick, rather him than Billy.
Philippe: Excellent choice, was a no brainer though.
K.Richardson: Probably picked on reputation, he does lift when he's in the national team.
J.Richardson: Bowler of the comp IMO.
Sams: Bowled shit, done well to average 49 @ 191 when he can't face the short ball at all, I don't think he's up to the next level though.
Sangha: Was the spinner of the comp, I didn't realize he wasn't an oversea's player, faced two balls all comp LOL.
D.Short: He's no Matt Short but can deliver, did have a bit of a quiet BBL and dropped the easiest catch ever caught on camera.
Stoinis: Picks himself although he only bowled 6 overs for the comp, didn't set the world on fire.
Turner: Averaged 23 @ 155, please!!!!!
Tye: Did OK I guess, I'm just not a fan.
Wade: Scored 86 of his 105 in one dig, can't really overlook though, has enough credits in the bank.
Zampa: Gets the job done and can bowl in the power plays.

If the structure / timing of the tours was was right then Carey would be the ODI and T20 captain with an eye to him taking over at Test level.

But that would be something like being organised.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
