I would think it needs to be put through a couple more official channels than that (Comittee, Ground manager, Kenilworth, Ref director, ref etc) otherwise i might switch the game with Port this week to TK Shutter reserve on Wednesday at 3am in our pyjamas if Toasty agrees.
There is a committee meeting on Monday though which should help facilitate a potential change of the Draw.

I have no issue with this.

Tk sounds perfect to us also :)

On a serious note how many wins do people think is needed to make finals? 8 with our percentage I think,,,almost impossible I think, means we can only drop one more game!!

My understanding was as long as the proper people were told in time that then yes games can be moved, the draw this year was set up with weekends free for this very reason....

Well, theoretically you'd expect the current top 4 to win about 3 of their games against the bottom four & at least 1 against the fellow top 4 sides. This would mean the Saints would end up with about 8 wins or so. Sure this is a bit of a generalisation, but was the best I could do based on current form.

Also, how'd the WI v Port Districts game go on sunday???
I saw Flinders beat Mitcham in the early game.

I might have stayed but another famous Na Fianna pub crawl on the saturday night prior meant that sleep was more important! Although currently it is not helping me thru work today...

Western Ireland by about 5 points I think. I believe ourselves and port will beat at least one of the top 4 sides each. After a massive mid season slump I expect us to start putting a consistent side on the park. Might be too late to sneak into finals but we will definitely help shape the top 4

Na Fianna's own Cameron "Sex Panther" Shenton off to St Kilda (pick 30) in the rookie draft.
Congratulations to the man! =D>

Forgive me if I'm mistaken but don't you normally fall away after Christmas?

NOTE this weeks St Brendans vs Onkas blockbuster has been moved from Friday night to Sunday arvo at 2:30pm!!

Many thanks to Onkas for agreeing to the change, Men's referees coordinator Toady Javor for supplying/being the ref, and Steve "The Riddler" Ridley for agreeing to setup early on the Sunday.

That we are no longer subjected to the entertaining musings of Rupert.

Perhaps this latest re-scheduling will bring him out of hiding...?

In all seriousness thankyou to those involved with Onkas. Could easily have declined the request and taken the easy win but obviously those in charge down there enjoy there gaelic footy and would rather a decent hit out...hopefully we can provide that for them on Sunday. Thanks also to the trainer and the "umpire".

Umpire/referee sounds like some more Aussie terminology that we can use to rile up the Irish at State Championships, much like referring to goals and points as "unders and overs"...

Id like to see SA take it a bit further and start to refer to goals as "3 pointers" or perhaps even "maximums" that will pi$$ the Irish off for sure!

If SA could score any of these "three-pointers", "maximums", or even a few "one-pointers" then they might take more notice...

Congratulations to Na Fiannas Cameron Shenton on being drafted to St. Kilda. Im assuming my threats toward Kevin Sheedy scared off GWS and thank God for that  One only hopes he can survive possibly his toughest challenge, the St.Kilda pre-season trip :)

I notice that the usually miserly Taints defence managed to ship 5 maximums last night... can only assume that Craig "Stairway to" Bevan had a shocker?

He is a shocker. I think the difference was no Zaluski. Not the terrible Zaluski, number 4, but the good one 25 I didnt see out there. That would answer it i reckon.

Did I also see the great "MATT DOECKE" playing for Onkas?
