It's my jobs perks fault. I usually only do small basket shops but we now get a 10% discount extra to be used once a month (on top od the usual 5%) so we now do a big trolley shop with that, I did save over $40 today.

So you know what is in that particular aisle.
A few years back we made our own list of products that we'd generally buy and was able to list what aisle they were in using the guide they had at the end of each aisle.
It was brilliant for just one of us wasting time going there, we'd add to the list during the week and do a quick stocktake before heading there, took like 20 mins for a full shop.
Now I try to run out of pretty much everything then go do a big shop, my freezer would see me through a nuclear war though, that aint getting low any time soon, not with the meth head Coles nearby, no one buys good stuff from there so they discount it at ridiculous prices.
Years ago I had a housemate that worked at one of the bigger supermarkets. He’d stash the discounted good stuff & tell us where it was a few times a week - we ate like kings. Not long after one of the girls I lived with started going out with a wine rep. She used to get some top notch reds, I was gutted when he broke up with her.

Pirate Life brew in 5000L batches. Guess that still meets the classification of 'craft'Booney wrote:Pirate Life can't claim to be craft brewers anymore, not since they took that $10m cheque.
Typically yes, craft beers were small batch jobs, not mass produced. Now craft beer is seen more as fruity IPA and crazy sour blends ( I can't do them ) even when mass produced. It's all blurry now, literally.

I eat watermelon and rockmelon every day but I can't like watermelon flavoured drinks for some reason.

Very handy that Miss Jimmy's partner works for a multi beverage company and is doing his Master Sommelier
He visits with all sorts of interesting stuff
The weekend is a bit hazy but I'm pretty sure he brought down some Vale Brewing Margarita Sour
I'm not a RTD fan but I remember that it was pretty good

Re: Your poison of choice?
Tried the Coopers Regency Red Ale tonight at the Coopers Ale House, Gepps X and it's bloody nice. Not something you could hit too hard though.
PS I've never seen this place so packed!

I love the red ales, so I did try this the other day at the Clovey. I love it!
