The top 4 now shouldn't change
Strath
Bay's
Creek
Goolwa
5th spot could be decided next round with Willunga playing myponga if Willunga win I think they will just hold on to 5th spot. But as we know an upset can happen anytime in this comp at the moment meaning mclaren or myponga are definately not out of the mix. Myponga seem to have a few injuries at the moment with Carroll carrying an ankle injury played last week but just sat in the square & hunt doing a hammy could will hurt them. As they have three big games coming up v creek, Willunga & the bays.
Willunga obviously are starting to get some players back after beating mclaren last round, they will be hoping they find form at the right time as they usually do come September.
Creeks hit the panic button again with Derham out injured plucked Tim Rodgers out to help down back doubt he would be fit? Jordan mchmahon (w.bulldogs & glenelg) apparently signed up with them for next year!
Strath having 6 out of there best team last week are just doing the basics well getting over the line. But like all teams can't afford any more injuries as depth is not a strength. But the top 8 players are playing very good consistent footy each week. Got two big games coming up v goolwa & bays looking forward to seeing them up close again.
We might see some a grade home finals this year with the qualifying final at the creek
& the 2nd semi at strath.

Silly season already WOW?

Something more must have happened at VH for the resignation? From the outside looking in they've been pretty competitive with all those young blokes

Yep had to be more to it. He has done a very good job with a list of very young locals. Each week any team that comes up they had nothing to loose and played this way. The club is good at producing good young footballers and this sort of issue could have massive downward effects. The times states about having good assistants but these assistants have been there with the a grade coach and a few of them recycled from other clubs with very little success when trying to coach so maybe the committee needs to have a good look at themselves here. Can see another walk out from players again at the end of this year if not before the season ends

Heard he'll be playing with good mate Munn next year.

What happened down at Rooland FOD? Have heard that it was to do with a selection/player discipline issue??

When the board call you in for a review mid way through the season, you know your gone, so may as well save the farcical/awkward gathering and bow out!

I haven't really got much to add to what had been said here or the times article. AFAIK the coach had a pretty good rapport with the group for the most part, and while he took a tough line with some players of late which caused some upset, I wouldn't think those issues were insurmountable. Unless there were other major issues on the review agenda ( which was scheduled) I'm miffed as to why he would resign. I guess he felt he didn't have their support.

Now what happened to your coach LF?

Unbelievable scenes at Myponga. The Senior Colts game was suspended just before quarter time due to the thick fog that is covering the oval. Hopefully it lifts soon and they can get back out there. You can barely see 50m!

A Grade game between Myponga and Langhorne Creek was abandoned today due to a thick fog covering Myponga Oval. Anyone know the last time a GSFL game was called off without even getting underway??

Had to be there to believe it. Stood at half fwd & you couldn't see the Creek warming up at half back. Clear as by 430pm. Apparently no game has been called off in Kev Currens time - 30 to 35 years??

Im regards to the Victor and Murdock issue. My mail is

The Weetra boys decided to turn up 10 minutes before the game so Murdock pulled up some Senior Colts to play instead as he should.

Weetra boys didnt like it and the President backed the players. Dont blame Murdock for resigning

Victor have got a very poor record in recent years with coaches.

Spot on - the boys club at victor strike again. Nothing like undermining your senior coach! Pity the next guy who tries to coach in that environment!
