Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
Shows how hard it is from year to year - and when you don’t have a stream of kids coming through, at some point it all comes to a head and crashes down.
Players don’t stick around for the tough times either, and families send their kids to the big clubs.
Getting harder every season.

Poorake only have A & B grade this year. CBCOC are the C grade forfeit to GC. Certainly takes the gloss off a GC home match day. Gone from 3 to 1 game.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
Well with kilburn gaining promotion to A3 I’d like to say good luck to both pooraka and Gaza seeing clubs out north not going so well is not ideal. Hopefully they can bounce back.
Gepps x it’s a love hate relationship but always a good contest. We both host great days when playing each other with it being our indigenous round and gepps have played a huge part in that and massive respect to the entire club who come out in numbers to support it. Also there pork and gravy rolls are worth a mention.
Walkerville another club not far from kilburn that I enjoy seeing doing well. Put on a good home game fixture with the bbq being as good as any in the comp. I did enjoy having a couple wins against walkerville as it wasn’t long they were giving us some flogging and letting us no.
Kennilworth happy to say we are not in your comp anymore a little to far down south for us at kilburn. Our game at kilburn was an absolute ripping contest and perhaps the best minor round game all season. Some quality players in there team
Hectorville I said all season they are a danger Team classy on ball players with a couple gun forwards fast ball movement and it trouble kilburn I was happy not to play them in a final. 1 win each 2 points and 7 points showing it was a tight encounter both times. With a lot of young talented kids hectorville got some good times coming.
Morphettville park. I don’t think they’re anyone that wouldn’t agree with me here but I’m glad we are not playing them again next season. Quality team but there oval I will not miss watching us play on its a big home ground advantage
To the plymton and westminister people of the forum good luck Saturday hopefully it’s a good game and it goes your way both quality teams with match winners looking forward to this one it should be a great contest.
On behalf of kilburn I hope you all have enjoyed our hospitality when played at kilburn in my opinion our bbq and canteen is well ran and organised with cold beers sold. We are a passionate group that enjoy some banter but at the end of the day appreciate all clubs and their supporters who follow community footy. Good luck to everyone hoping your clubs can build on this season and go from strength to strength.

Looks like kilburn will be without Barilla for the grand final after getting knocked out last week

Kilburn will do what ever is right by dom he was ok after the game clearly singing the club song and happy and cheering I haven’t heard he was knocked out or heard he has a concussion.he was actually joking around after the game saying ee what happens when he comes off we almost lose the game. It was more cheekbone of the concern than anything. Dom has the full support of kilburn and will make the decision based on the experts advice. Dom health is and will be our priority moving forward and I can assure you the club will work closely with dom to see if he is fit to play in a grand final and make sure there is no Medical issues that would have dom at any risk with his cheekbone. If dom is playing in a grand final he’s 100 percent fit cleared and ready to play.

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
21 day concussion rule doesnt apply to grand finals?
Had to enforce when no one is policing it and relies on clubs to do the right thing
Barilla will 100% be playing

Come on mate, didn't you read - Dom has the full support of Kilburn and will make the decision based on the experts advice!
I do wonder though.. what experts? Is it the team of medical professionals down at Chic Park?

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
I've spoken with a few local footballers about this, and they're all singing from the same song book, no one will admit to concussion come finals time.
"It was my neck"
"I got whacked in the mouth"
"I got poked in the eye"
etc etc...

Laughable.
Would not rely on clubs to self adhere to those 21 day breaks

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 4
Stupid rule anyway
If 12 days is OK for the AFL players then the same should apply to everyone else.
I have as much access to medicos as the AFL players do - we all get ramped for the same time

Relax you guys have to understand not every player that comes off injured has a concussion. In regards to dom no concussion at all have a look at kilburn singing their club song and dom right in there enjoying the win with the players and our supporters. Confirmed it was his cheekbone and luckily for dom he has been given the all clear no structural damage and you will see the mighty kingdom playing Saturday week.
Our biggest concern is Jayden Davison hamstring he done in the last minute of the game. Ontop of that kyke parks broke his hand during the game. They’re something to talk about there lads.
Bedge good luck to the farmers Saturday also mate hoping they get the win.

Wouldn't be the first time a Kilburn player got "concussion" this year then played the following week.

I was giggling at the way you wrote your spill - like you've been watching too many AFL press conferences haha! Couldn't care less on the situation on him, or questioning whether he was concussed or not.

I guess if you go to enough doctors one will eventually clear you of concussion
