Suprised a few more B graders didn't play higher during the year.
Where to for the Kookas? Has their window closed? Lot of players appear closer to the end of their playing days than not.
Would there be any regret in letting HV & Pulteney use their home ground for the 1st final allowing the 2 sides to get used to the oval?

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but i think injuries at the wrong time contributed to them losing more than their opposition getting an extra run on St Marys...

Don't ruin the narrative with your common sense bullshit thanks.

Kenilworth had 39 players go through the A grade this year meaning practically 2 sides went through.
From when I last checked that was more or just as many as Hope Valley and Pulteney go through the 1’s. I don’t think that’s the reason.
Kenilworth in every game this year bar the 3 they lost piled 5-6 goals in 10 minutes and on each occasion blew the game open with those bursts. On the weekend we had the opportunity to do that in the 3rd and 4 goals that probably should have been goals narrowly missed. We left the door open and Pulteney did what good teams do and made us pay. We should have been up by 4-5 goals at 3/4 time but we weren’t. For me injuries don’t come in to it, The talent was there to create the opportunities both weeks and we didn’t take it where during the year we did. It was only little things on most occasions but that’s footy and history will show that forever now. Credit where it’s due that both teams the last 2 weeks raised to another level and took their chances.
In terms of where to now - Our 18’s won the flag on the weekend and 2 of them were blooded in the A’s this year. 1 is a 16 year old kid who has the ability to kick 60 metres and on multiple occasions this year against solid opponents showed what he is capable of. Moving forward we have plenty to look forward to as a club - On this occasion we let it slip which unfortunately it is what it is.

End of season Canteen/BBQ Rankings as selected by.. me 1. Kenilworth - quality, pricing, speed of service. Well done on taking out this years prize. 2. Eastern Park 3. Rosewater - just pip Salisbury because their hotdog was bloody sensational, and they have a good range of product. 4. Salisbury 5. Hope Valley 6. Lockleys - work needs to be done here, fell off the pace this year with their performance - cant rely on Stormy forever. 7. Trinity OS 8. Smithfield 9. Pulteney - certainly most improved by a fair way, but coming from a long way back. Work still to be done in this space. 10. Blackfriars OS - comparable to Pulteney circa 2017. In their defence was a home game at Thebby, but still, no excuses.

Lockleys - work needs to be done here, fell off the pace this year with their performance - cant rely on Stormy forever. Didn't go 7. Trinity OS Chips and dimmies were good but took too long 8. Smithfield Pie was good 9. Pulteney - certainly most improved by a fair way, but coming from a long way back. Work still to be done in this space. Disappointed after the hype 10. Blackfriars OS - comparable to Pulteney circa 2017. In their defence was a home game at Thebby, but still, no excuses. I had really good steak sanga at Blackfriars.

You won’t find many better chips and gravy around then the Kenilworth Canteen.
